I started really cracking down on my DIY projects about three month out, and I wish I had started a little earlier. It would have been nice to have things spaced out so I wasn't working on wedding stuff every single weekend.</p> <p>With only three weeks to go until my wedding, I have been super busy, but mostly with things that required knowing how many people were going to RSVP: the favors, out of town bags, etc. I think if I could do it all over, I would have done a lot of DIY projects as earlier than I did... if you're the type to procrastinate at all, start early!</p> <p>Also-- I don't know if this is how it went for everyone else, but I kind of let my work/personal life dictate how busy I was with wedding planning. For example, if I knew a certain month was going to be busy at work/home, I made that a "light" wedding month and didn't schedule as many appointments or try to tackle as many projects. That said, I do remember that the two months leading up to my sister's first wedding were the worst for her as far as being ultra busy. (just finishing save the dates now, but have most of our major vendors.)&nbsp; I'm not the most organized person and know I'll need to rely on using random weekdays off here and there to plan.&nbsp; I'm fortunate enough to have 12 vacation days to use before the wedding and I'm trying to decide when I'll need them the most.&nbsp; I'm already planning to use 5 days to take off the week leading up to the wedding (week of 5/24/10) for last minute preparation and de-stressing as much as possible!&nbsp; I thought about taking additional time off earlier in May or in April, but I'm wondering if there are lulls in the planning in the month or two before the wedding and I'll need more time during the sixth or fifth or fourth months, etc.&nbsp; My question is - with a 5/29/10 wedding date, when will I have the most planning to do between January-May?</p> <p>Thanks!!!</p>
