Such a great idea, I love these! I agree with the folks who say print something on the back of the ticket, or if you wanted you could just print a note for those who might not 'get it'. A somewhat more complicated idea is - you know how if you order tickets from Ticketmaster or pick them up at Will Call they sometimes come in an envelope that usually says Ticketmaster, or whatever, on the outside? You could make up an envelope that says 'We're getting married!' (or something to that effect) with your name logo on the envelope, and the tickets inside? That way you get the two most important facts across right away (who and what), and then they can slowly figure out the information (when and where) on the ticket itself. You could even just fold/glue a piece of paper as an 'envelope' instead of having a full on second envelope or something. Good luck, I think those are awesome no matter what!

These look amazing!! I solved the STD problem with my grandparents by hand delivering them and when they opened helped them understand what it was and why they got one. The rest of our invites went to younger people who know what they are.

Those look great! I like the idea of making it a postcard or writting on the back so people know it's not just something random...they look so real. Awesome job

Very cute -- that's really great!

For our guests who might not recognise a save the date, we included a little note and it worked great.

Ooh, or what if you tied a cute little ribbon around the ticket with your initials and date?

I'd either put something on the back or stamp the envelope with a "save the date" stamp, so they will know what to look for inside

I think it is too cool to tamper with. If people are confused, they can call whoever you are putting on the return address.
