oh, and I definitely think pale brides are beautiful, but I have rosascea (sp?) and acne, so the tan made me feel more confident with the right makeup, it really isn't needed for most people, esp. for a winter wedding! I hate it when you see someone in the winter who is darker than they usually are in the summer, and you know they used a tanning bed..ICK

I use the Jergens Express lotion from Walgreens and it's awesome! Exfoliate when you're in the shower, then put it on when you get out and are still a little damp. It doesn't turn out orangy at all, just natural looking. Exfoliating is the key so it doesn't stick to the dry spots.

Don't do it!! I watched my Dad die of skin cancer two years ago...think of it this way. Replace tanning with drunk driving. Is it okay to do it once? Nope. Same with tanning. It is a chance nobody should make when there are decent alternatives.

The health risk is certainly not worth it for one day. Try an airbrush tan. It's SO MUCH BETTER than Mystic.

Yeah, tanning isn't worth the aging/cancer/wrinkles for sure! I rocked the pale bride thing and loved it! I don't like spray tans and love my pale complexion! I think as long as you have blush on your face you won't look like a ghost.

I just don't think putting myself at risk for skin cancer is worth having a tan. I used self-tanner and was really happy with my wedding photos. Also, think of all the fantastic celebs with perfect pale skin--Anne Hathaway is a great one. You don't HAVE to be tan to look great. If you do want a tan, I'd recommend either a spray tan or some self-tanner. I love the Olay Touch of Sun daily stuff. It's subtle enough to look real and doesn't get streaky.

Don't do it! It's so not worth it. Do an at-home gradual tanner or a spray tan if you must.

i agree with cannot wait, do a airbrush tan. I use the jergens body glow lotion and then get a airbrush tan. If you get an airbrush tan with only one coat it comes out very natural. I do them all the time and no one knows they are fake. Definitly try it out before the wedding.

not worth it. You only get married once but you also only have one life and I don't think looking tan is worth sacrificing it.

I hightly recommend airbrush tanning. It looks really natural and even and not at all orange.
