I think we are actually going to change our venue now, so hopefully the ugly chairs will become a non-issue! LOL

I wouldn't worry about it. For the time that people would actually be able to see them in brighter lights (i.e. dinner), I would hope that they would be sitting on them and no one will be able to see them then.

Seriously, I can't even tell you what the chairs at my place look like. In this economy, chair covers just aren't worth it unless the venue throws it in so that you book with them. Don't worry about it.

I don't think those are bad. Practically every venue I went to had chairs like that. I never came across any venues with wooden chairs or chiavari chairs. My guests would have laughed at me if I had paid to cover chairs. Such a silly thing to pay for! Your money is better spent elsewhere. No one will notice the chairs.

Hahaha these are the exact same chairs in my venue! I am definitely covering them, they would totally clash with my colors. I am kinda picky about that sort of thing, so that's why I don't mind spending the extra to have coordinating chair covers and ties. If it isn't going to make you nuts on your wedding day, then forget about it, because nobody else will probably even notice :)

I don't think they're that bad-- once people sit in them, they will basically fade away. They're just chairs-- is it really worth several hundred dollars?

If you have the money in your budget to prettyfy them...then you should! But honestly, they're just chairs...peolple will be sitting in them and they won't be the focus of the room, so I think its fine if they just stay like that.

I plan events and you must cover those unless you use the black red and white color scheme, can you imagine those chairs against white blush and grey???nooooo!! it does affect the overall ambience. absolutely, if you are spending anything on asthetic details and trying ot achieve a certain look and feel to your wedding that must be budgeted in. There is a great place called sculptware online that does a stretchy cover with a band or a tuxtail which is a half cover very clean looking.

Ive never paid any attention to chairs at the weddings, those ones look like they dominate the room, but with all your decor done will they stand out so much? are you able to visit the venue when it is prepared for a wedding? the ones at our centre arent glamorous, I havent decided whether to pay the $180 for the covers yet, I probably wont.

at least they look comfy. .. .

i don't think it will be a big deal, but if you can't get out of your head (which i know happens sometimes). .. call around about rentals, or catering companies might have some too. . .. or ask the j-center if they would be willing to buy the covers off of you
