You can do either. My florist rents containers, but I decided I want to use goblets and bowls as containers, which I would rather pick out myself. So I'm just buying them.

It also depends on what you want to do with your centerpieces afterward. I can't stand the thought of throwing away flowers, so I was going to give some to the guests that are local and donate the rest to a nursing home. I'm sure some florists can make arrangements to pick up their rental containers, but it just seemed easier to buy them all.

it depends on the florist you go with. Our florist is also our event planner, so we're renting linens and chairs, but she already has trumpet vases and such that we need. When you meet with different florists, they will tell you what they have and what you would need to get.

We haven't decided on a florist yet, but i am confused on what we buy and what we rent. I guess i always thought the florist would provide anything we needed for centerpieces and then we gave them back when we were done? But now seeing here in Wedding Bee's classsifieds everyone selling vases, candles, lanterns etc i'm confused. Do some florists do this "full service" or will we be expected to do some of this? Do we get to keep the vases our centerpieces are made in?
