Most of my favorites have been mentioned again but by "voting" again for them I figure it emphasize the awesomeness more for anyone who hasn't read them and is now tempted to! Just like happened to me with "She's Come Undone", thanks to the multiple votes I'm ordering it as we speak!

- Pride and Prejudice (I've read it over and over, like once a year for over a decade)

- Cat's Cradle, Kurt Vonnegut (also better with each read)

- Atonement, Ian McEwan (movie is beatiful, book is better!)

- Time Traveler's Wife (can't wait to read it again, I'm sure there's more to gain!)

- Gone With the Wind (long, but you still wish it wouldn't end!)

- A Tale of Two Cities (@Bellenga, I sense you have excellent taste in books! ;-) )

And of course, the Harry Potter and His Dark Materials (The Golden Compass, etc) were such great reads!

I was re-reading this post (I always love to find new books to read), and I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me:

What do you like about the book "She's Come Undone" by Wally Lamb? I read it a couple of years ago and I was not moved by it, or feel like it was one of the greatest books ever. I'm not saying it was a bad book, was I just not in the right frame of mind when I read it? Did I not get it? I would like to revisit the book, maybe someone could give me some insight on it? Thanks!

My favorite of all time would have to be "Atlas Shrugged". If any book changed my life that was it.

Childhood favorites (that I still read today) would be the OZ and Anne of Green Gables series. They just ring of a simpler time, and they consistently put a smile on my face if I'm a little down.

Guilty pleasure books would have to be the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. Just the kind of books I scoff at, but they sure are fun to read.

I love all things Jane Austen--but Persuasion includes the best love letter written. Ever.

I re-read A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens every Christmas. I appreciate the social commentary.

I also love Little Women by Louisa May Alcott. But I have to stop when Jo refuses Laurie because I really think that they should have ended up together!

For something more contemporary I really like all the Jen Lancaster books--especially Bitter is the New Black.

Enjoy!

Here are some of mine:

Survivor - Chuck Palahniuk

Fight Club- Chuck Palahniuk

Choke- Chuck Palahniuk

Rant- Chuck Palahniuk

Lullaby- Chuck Palahniuk

Diary - Chuck Palahniuk

Can you tell I love Chuck Palahniuk, haha? FI likes him too. When I moved in with him I brought all my Chuck Palahniuk and he was like "Wow, you have like almost all of Chuck Palahniuk books. I have them too!" and he did. So we have a lot of doubles of his books, haha.

I liked the Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer.

Time Traveler's Wife- Audrey Niffenegger

How Green Was My Valley - Richard Llewellyn (I actually read this in fifth grade, and for S.S.R. and it's more of a highschool leveled book, and all the ones below belong to this series. This one is about a man who is about to leave his home town Wales, and is thinking back about when he was a boy, and how his family were miners. The boys name is Huw Morgan and he is the Narrator.)

Up Into the Singing Mountain - Richard Llewellyn - This is about Huw emigrating to Argentina

Down Where the Moon Is Small - Richard Llewellyn - About Huw's Life in Argentina

Green, Green My Valley Now - Richard Llewellyn - Huw returns to Wales.

I absolutely loved those books by Richard Llewellyn.

And I love Mary Higgins Clark.

Those are a few, haha.

This is a post that's been going on a long time, but I'll add to it! I'm always reading a book. Once one is done, I have another waiting in the wings to be started!

'She's Come Undone' by Wally Lamb is my absolute fave. I've read it a frillion times.

For something lighter-hearted, though, I really enjoy Sophie Kinsella's 'Confession of a Shopoholic' series or Jennifer Weiner's novels. Great, easy reads.

I just finished readin 'Sharp Objects' by Gillian Flynn. Disturbing and well written. I was thirsting for more when I finished.

Now, I'm working on 'Eat, Pray, Love' and while the author is completely hilarious and witty, I find my mind drifting off while reading. So I'll probably put it down for a while and start another. :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE Steven King! I'm a huge fan of "The Shining."

I'm also a (pathetically big) fan of the Twilight books. It's a little sad how much I love them.

I am such a huge fan of reading that I don't know if I could pick just one book to be my absolute favorite!
