I read it a couple of years ago and I was not moved by it, or feel like it was one of the greatest books ever. I'm not saying it was a bad book, was I just not in the right frame of mind when I read it? Did I not get it? I would like to revisit the book, maybe someone could give me some insight on it? If any book changed my life that was it.</p> <p>Childhood favorites (that I still read today) would be the OZ and Anne of Green Gables series. They just ring of a simpler time, and they consistently put a smile on my face if I'm a little down.</p> <p>Guilty pleasure books would have to be the Kushiel series by Jacqueline Carey. Ever.</p> <p>I re-read <strong>A Christmas Carol</strong> by Charles Dickens every Christmas. I appreciate the social commentary.</p> <p>I also love <strong>Little Women</strong> by Louisa May Alcott. This one is about a man who is about to leave his home town Wales, and is thinking back about when he was a boy, and how his family were miners.
