Hey there, Hive! Today's post is a little rant-ish, but I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. I'm 22, and about a year and a half away from achieving my bachelor's of fine arts degree. My FI proposed in late March, but since then, nothing wedding-related has happened. AT ALL. It seems as though my parents are almost anti-wedding. One parent has the same degree as I am pursuing, and every time I bring up wanting to be finished with school, they cut in with "not yet", and when family members have asked about the wedding and when it is, and I say that I'd like it to be after my B.F.A., that parent interjects and makes sure it's known that I "have to get a master's first" because the art world is hard to get a job in without one. So then the family members hear that, the subject gets dropped and I don't really feel excited about getting married anymore, just anxious and a little sad. Yes, right now is a bad time to get married; we have no money set aside yet and other issues, but it's not like we're planning a huge blowout. We're a fairly low-key couple and want a small wedding. I just want to be able to start planning and not have people treating me like my wedding is nothing special. My FI's parents keep asking why we haven't started planning anything yet and urging us to get to the church to start the process.*sigh* Has anyone else had something like this happen, and if so, how did you deal with it? I don't want to get married tomorrow or anything, but it'd just be nice to be able to look at wedding things without almost feeling guilty. I know my parents are just looking out for me, but still...

I know I still have plenty of time to make the decision on the flower girl dress & everything, but I found the PERFECT one. It goes with my dress perfectly. My nieces will be 5 and 2 and the 5 year old is all about being a princess, so I think this dress will fit her perfectly. Lol she just may steal the show! I just love the dress the way it feathers out like mine does. Oh she's going to look precious! So, what do you girls think? PS. That's not my niece, just in case you girls were wondering lol.

I haven't checked with the BBB about them, but they seem to reply to all the reviews/questions that are posted on their site. Littlecoral: Haven't seen many ppl buy from the on the Bee, but noticed a few ppl mention them. No pix of final results though. Milly: great reviews, but haven't seen photos of final results yet either.   Store of dress has 2 dresses that I want - 1) Romona Keveza: short dress w/ ruffle detail - it's the back that I adore! <img src="http://thumb.storeofdress.com/ROM-BR-E983.jpg" alt="front of RK" /><img src="http://photo.storeofdress.com/ROM/BR/E983/E983-1.jpg" alt="back of RK" />   2) Casablanca dress: Love the detail on the bottom, but dislike the beading at the empire waist. I want to customize the empire area a bit, which is why I'd like to see if this chinese company is legit. <img src="http://photo.storeofdress.com/CAS/BR/1804/1804-1.jpg" alt="casablanca front" /><img src="http://photo.storeofdress.com/CAS/BR/1804/1804-2.jpg" alt="casablanca back" />   I've heard of good things about jeffliu8000 from ebay, MillyBridal, and also a little bit about Littlecoral.com. I've been stalking their pages for awhile, but haven't seen anything that's exactly like I want. I want to use these dresses as inspiration and change a few things to make it more "me."   Please let me know what you've heard and if you've bought from them! thanks!

My Fiance and I live in Texas but we are getting married in Minnesota. I was born and raised in Minnesota and all my family lives there and so does his. Thus is the reason we are having our wedding there. Long story short we are struggling to find a place for a reception. I"m from a super small town. We are planning on getting married at the church my parents got married at. We are inviting around 250 guests. We have the option of haivng it at the local ballroom which is pretty much a dump or at the school which is newly remodeled but allows no alcohol on premises. I need more ideas! help!

my reception will start at 5:30pm and will have to end the night at 10:30pm. my question is that, since it'll be a sunday night reception and people will have to work the next morning, will they actually stay till 10:30? if not, what time do guests usually start leaving for a sunday night?
