I have two dresses that i LOVE. They are very different in style though. both are fit and flare/trumpet silhouette. One is Demetrios Platinum DP180. I would remove that band thats just under the boobies. The detail on the dress is goldish antique looking lace and its more lace "trim" instead of full on lace with lots of sparkles. Two is Marisa 802. Its all over lace, and i would add bits of sparkle in random places on the dress to add that "sparkle". I have a pic of me in the dress and a sketch of the dress since you cant tell the shape from the pic i took since its a sneak pic LOL both i get the same "i love this" feeling in. and theres not much difference in price - one is 2200 and one is 2650... and thats without negotiating... I am attaching a pic of my chapel too so you can see the style of wedding i am going for... what do yall think? i am stumped on which to choose - im going back tomorrow to try them on again.

OK...let me set the scene. Wedding is up in the White Mountains of New Hampshire on Oct 2, 2010. It's an outdoor wedding at a rustic bed and breakfast with a beautiful old farm house and big red barn. We're deifnitely going for a rustic elegance "theme". So here are the bridesmaids and flower girl dress I have picked out from J Crew...the only difference is that I would add a brown sash to the flower girl dress./ Do you think the bridal gown I have chosen works with the whole theme? The silk taffeta of the sash is the same material as the bridesmaids and flower girl dresses and I think the bow on the back of the gown matches the bow on the BM dresses really well. The flowers I posted is a arrangement my florist gave me when we met for the first time. Our flowers will be very similar but we'll add more color with dahlias and chocolate cosmos. Honest opinions please! ;) ps....it's my first time creating a board...so bear with me! lol! ;)

I'm a little bored..anyone want some couple line art? I need to practice on some different poses before I commit to drawing FI & I for our program/comic. So, free art for you, practice for me? :)  I'll just need a pic of the two of you, and pics/descriptions of what you'll wear.  Wedding dresses would be good, since I haven't drawn many of them. for now..um, first four that post that they want? I'm not sure how long it'll take, but I've got a couple hours at least before FI comes home. Lucky me has vet's day off :) The pic below kinda shows my "style", though the image quality is crappy since I shrunk it.  That was 2 years ago though, I have no idea what it'll look like now. (Hence why I need to practice a bit!)

a Sottero Midgely Couture - Love it love it love it :-D Thought those of you undecided may like it too...If you think this pick is beautiful - wait till you actually get it on! So well made! BUT it was very heavy. and since i am getting married in august i felt the organza seemed lighter and more 'summery'. both were great and able to suck it all in easily -lol. and both had that dramatic WOW factor. I mean when i came out of the dressing room on a busy saturday at the bridal salon -everyone went silent...hahahahaa. so then i knew i had a winner !!! we will be getting married at the Music Garden in downtown Toronto Ontario - which is such a beautiful spot to any of you brides in the area. Just gorgeous gardens and then with the marina right on Lake Ontario. So so pretty. anyway, just some thoughts in my happiness at finding my great dress!   M.

Im am going to bustle up my dress and wear it dammit! After all the money its costing and its probably THE most beautiful thing I will ever wear in my life, I am wearing it till the day is done! Logically - yes it may be a bit much maybe by the end of the night, but heck ladies - suck it up! Beauty costs! LOL we will plenty of time to look fab in other cocktail dresses as our lives go on ;-)   m.

I have quite a lot of time on my hands these next 3 weeks, so I thought I'd offer my help to any stressed-out brides who are either running out of time preparing for their upcoming wedding or just want some side help. I'm limited to the computer (online shopping for dresses/accessories/favors/packaging/inspiration pics/venue or vendor enquiries/etc.). I'm completely madly in love with two dresses. One is the lovely Pronovias "Ronda," with beautiful lace straps, from the spring 2009 collection. The other is the Mon Cheri "Lauren," from 2007. They both make me feel amazing and I can't think of picking one without feeling sad about giving up the other. Wish I could have two weddings with two budgets! What do you all think? Details: I'm short and petite and fair-skinned, I'm getting married outdoors in July at a winery in Seattle in the afternoon with an evening reception, and the Mon Cheri would be ivory if I got it (not green.)
