A ring you wear in place of your real one in situations where it might get lost/stolen/damaged.

It’s a fake version of your engagement ring to use in times you don’t want to wear your real one – ie. at the beach, traveling, etc.

Something you wear in place of your actual ring.  Mine’s in the shop at the moment so I’m wearing a pretty little dainty band I got on Amazon to put in my right hand stack.  So it’s “standing in” for my wedding ring.

Actually – I ran out and didn’t remember to put ANY of my jewelry on today so I got nothin’   LOL

@AnaA:  haha no need to apologize! I do too and I am also from Mexico but live in the US now! I suspected you spoke spanish because of the double question mark and the ‘disculpa mi ignorancia’! 😀

I am always kind of surprised that people get exact (or close) replicas to “stand in”.  I have my wedding band and e-ring and bought a very plain $100 gold band to wear when I am playing sports/ travelling ect.  I don’t quite understand the need to get something “similar” so it looks the same? Am I missing something?
