Mine is a 1.3 carat ideal cut RB.  I think it’s plenty big.  My fingers are a 5.5.

I don’t have any pics on this comptuer, but I have a 1.3 round.  Given the choice, same quality, money isnt an issue, I’d go for 1.7ct in a heartbeat.  I always hear of people wanted a bit bigger, but I’d never heard anyone wish they had something SMALLER!  🙂

Here is a comparison for you. This is my 1.74 next to my grandmother’s 1.3ish (not sure exact weight).  I love the size of mine but it does get in the way sometimes. I would probably go for something in the middle, around 1.5 depending on the size of your hands.

I’m a size 3. My ring is sized 3.25 because of knuckles, though.

I’ve got a 1.72 carat on a size 4.5 finger 🙂  It doesn’t get in the way at all – I’ve only had a few instances where I clanged it on something, then did a panicked search for loose stones – but it’s nice and strong.  It’s only dangerous when I’m staring at it and walk into walls, street signs, etc… haha!

SoonToBeAFK:  No, I don’t get annoyed with it being too big. But, I do wonder if I wouldn’t feel the need to take it off so much (to shower, to do dishes, etc) if it were a little smaller.  Is there a reason 1.3 or 1.7 are what you are considering? A 1.5 might be a good compromise.  Also, it gets a lot of attention! Which is nice, but it makes me a little uncomfortable. And i get self conscious wearing it to job interviews and such. I wouldn’t trade it for anything, but there are definitely things I did not consider.

SoonToBeAFK:  what are the stats? I think a nicer 1.3 will look much better than a poor 1.7! Both are “pleasantly plump” 🙂

I have a 1.3. It’s honestly the perfect size for my fingers (5.25). Big enough to notice, “small” enough that it’s comfortable for everyday wear 🙂 But I’m sure whatever you pick will be stunning!
