I'm trying to think of how I want to decorate the church and I'm being thrown for a loop. The ceremony will be held in a church that has two aisles and I'm not sure how to handle it. The church itself it small and adorable, but I want to do SOMETHING to personalize it.

Also, should we walk down one way and leave the other? I'm afraid people on the far side won't see anything!

We have two sidewalks in the garden we are getting married in.  I thought it was sweet to have each couple walk separately on each side and than join near the front.  I think walking up one way and down the other would make sense.  Or is there a side door you could enter from?

@baletrina: We only have one photographer so as much as I love the idea of them walking down each aisle do you think she'd be able to catch a photo of them?

Will your guests fill the church so that you need to use all three sections?

If not, you can rope off one section and just use the other 2 sections and one aisle.

Otherwise decorate both aisles with cones, flowers, pomanders etc and do the processional down one aisle and the recessional down the other.

@julies1949: I never really thought about blocking one of the sections off! That could totally work (as long as our guest list # is appropriate). If every single person came we would have to use all three aisles, but seeing as how 85% of our guest list is from out of state, I'm sure our numbers will be lower!

    Thanks for the suggestion.

A lot of traditional or old churches have two aisles. You walk down the left side and walk back the right. That way you're going down on the bride family's side and back out on the groom's side.

I don't know much about decorating for it though, I'm struggling with that too!

Don't worry about everyone seeing you, they'll see you fine at the altar and for the rest of the night.
