My wedding is in 1 week and I’ve very recently developed pain in my big toe from what I assume is the beginnings of a bunion. My wedding shoes are from Payless, so fairly wide and comfy, but I don’t think that will be enough. It’s too late to hem my dress – any advice on how to prevent / alleviate pain on the big day?

I brought three pairs of shoes. Changed into pair #2 after my dances with Darling Husband & Dad (heels would have made me taller than both), and had a pair of sandals for the after party. No one will fault you if you put sneakers on half way through the reception!

I would say buy up a bunch of different support inserts, and maybe even see if you can find a suitable pair of wedges that you feel more comfortable putting weight in the heel area in!
