Thanks, Mrs. Jaguar, for starting a new thread.

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share):Me-34 DH-35

TTC since: It’s complicated. We always knew we were infertile, we just didn’t know that IVF was our only hope.

TTC Recap: See above, reconstructive surgery was cancelled at the last possible moment (literally, he was gowned and the IV was in) when the surgeon realized that Mr. LK’s FSH numbers were more than double what they should be and his T was less than half of what it should be, indicating that we had more than just an obstruction problem. So the surgery plan was off the table, leaving us with IVF with ICSI as our only option to conceive a child that is biologically ours. We finished all of my labs, and all is well. We meet with our RE in mid-December to discuss our odds and the protocol we’ll use. We meet with our MFI specialist in early January to see if Mr. LK is responding to the medication and discuss the exact plan for sperm retreival.

Issues (if any): Obstructive azoospermia and testicular failure… it’s a double whammy of MFI fun

Chart? Not anymore

Currently: CD 23

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: Me- Prenatal, CoQ10, Vit D, Fish oil, Melatonin, magnesium. DH- clomid, Theralogix Conception XR, magnesium, B complex, fish oil. We’re also both eating healthy and losing weight, and we’re mentally/emotionally geating up for our first IVF cycle in late winter/early spring.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: I honestly have no idea. That seems like such a far away possibility.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: We know it won’t be this cycle or the next, or even the one after that, as we are waiting for the clomid and supplements to do their thing before we try a surgical sperm retreival procedure. So this cycle I will enjoy all of the spiked almong nog that I want. 🙂

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful? I try to focus on what is good in our life right now. It may not be exactly what we want, but there is good in every day. My goal is to find that good.

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015? Keep eating healthy and losing weight, be an awesome wife to Mr. LK, teach DS to drive so that he can get his license and we can stop being his chauffeur, and nail the promotion when the spot becomes available (just waiting for a certain person to retire!)

Turtle83:  Mrs. Jaguar:  lonsk:  MrsBananas:  lovekiss: ShellVee:  Aqualov:  whybee:  saraja87:  phoebephoebo:  Novella:  (From the last thread … ) Thank you ladies so much! It was definitely the best Christmas present we ever could have asked for! DH and I are so excited! We ended up having our first beta yesterday and it was 125.6, which I think is pretty good for 14dpo/9dp5dt. We will have our second beta tomorrow to make sure numbers are rising properly. In other not so pleasant news, it seems I have developed a bit of OHSS, which is suuuuper uncomfortable. But, to be honest, I couldn’t care less right now! I am just so excited that we finally got our BFP!

Thanks so much to everyone for all the support – you ladies helped make this process so much easier. I hope you don’t mind if I stick around until we are sure that this little bean is super sticky.

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share): 32 (for 11 more days)

TTC since: June 2013

TTC Recap: First started testing in Jan’14 & found out DH has MFI (low counts, motility all poor morph).  In May we were told his counts are still too low for an IUI and we should go straight to IFV w/ ICSI.  2 weeks later got a BFP which ended as a blighted ovum.  Been trying naturally since.

Issues (if any): slight hypothyroidism on my part, MFI on his.

Chart? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/MrsBananas

Currently: 8dpo

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP:  Me: Synthroid, prenatal, CoQ10, Maca, Royal Jelly, Spirulina, Myo-Inositol w/ melatonin.  DH: Clomid, Fertilaid, Motility Boost, Count Boost, CoQ10, Maca, Royal Jelly & Spirulina. Our cupboard seriously looks like we’ve robbed a vitamin store.  But we’ve decided to tone down the vitamins and will be reducing gradually from here on out.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: Holding my breath until 12 weeks.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: Meeting with our RE in January to review our results from my hysteroscopy, DH’s latest SA & Clomid use.  FX’d we can try an IUI in the New Year.

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful?  I try to remind myself that I have many blessings and even though a child isn’t one of them, that doesn’t mean my life is empty.  I have a wonderful husband, family and friends.  And when I really down, I pray.

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015?  Get in shape for my 2 beach holidays next year.  And maybe/possibly selling our condo and getting a house (massive FX’d on that one).

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share): Me: 31 – DH: 30

TTC since: July 2013

TTC Recap: I got pregnant the third cycle of TTC, but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, I then got pregnant 3 more times; all chemical pregnancies. My OB started recurrent pregnancy loss testing so I had an HSG, tons of bloodwork (TSH, prolactin, MTHFR, etc), both DH and I were tested for DNA translocations. Everything was normal. I was then tested for ovarian reserve and my AMH was low (0.4). I then saw an RE who ordered CD3 testing and my numbers were FSH: 9.2, AFC: 10, AMH: 0.16. FSH and AFC are borderline normal, but my AMH is extremely low, so I was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. DH’s SA results were great. I had a miscarriage in October, around 8 weeks but baby stop growing around 7 weeks, normal (no chromosomal abnormalities) female. After the genetics results of my miscarriage my RE completely changed her tune, she no longer recommended IVF+PGD, but instead encouraged us to just keep trying naturally and do acupuncture and stated that I may have been extremely unlucky :/

Issues (if any): Unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss (4 chemical pregnancies, 1 miscarriage). Diminished ovarian reserve.

Chart? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Turtle83

Currently: 8DPO but I’m TTA this cycle since I had a hysteroscopy at the beginning of my cycle and RE found tissue and removed it. RE sa

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: Prenatals, Vitamin D, B-Complex, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, CoQ10, DHEA, pregnitude, baby aspirin (after ovulation), OPKs, acupuncture, Chinese herbs.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: I’ve already had a couple of BFPs and they didn’t stick, so we won’t celebrate once we hit 14 weeks.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: It won’t be this cycle since we’re TTA. But next cycle we will be doing femara + trigger shot + progesterone after confirming ovulation, this is the only treatment my RE recommends. She thinks it may give me a stronger ovulation and the additional hormonal support may help me maintain a pregnancy.

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful? I lean on my DH for support; he has been my rock and I try to see the positive in the situation. If I had remained pregnant the first time (after 3 months of TTC) I would have never appreciated my future LO as much as I will when I finally have him/her. I also try to remind myself that we will eventually be parents, and even if it may not be the way we originally hoped for, there are other paths to parenthood.

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015? Finish my MBA in June, finally! I’m so tired of working full time and attending school in the evenings. I also want to change jobs next year, and transition to a new career path.

Yay a new thread Thanks Mrs.Jaguar

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share): I’m 30 and hubby is 33

TTC since:  Oct 2013

TTC Recap:  I’m regular and my temps had shown ovulation. Had hubby  get SA came back bad. Waiting to see RE in Feb been waiting since Oct.

Issues (if any): MFI all we know is the sample was too small to even test.  TMI I had him ejaculate in a soft cup a couple times and the amount appears to be less than 0.5 ml. Hubby and i have had long talks about treatments in waiting for our appt. He wants to do donor sperm if I check out ok and he is the only issue.

Chart?

Currently:  We are just having sex when I get positive ovulation test.

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: I am taking prenantal, vit D, CoenzymeQ10, and omegas. Hubby is taking coenzymeq10,omega and macca

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by:  Crying a lot!

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll:  Keep waiting to see RE and then get a better plan for Baby B.

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful?  I am poor at this. My hubby says “We are team B and we will have a baby” almost everyday. He is apparently the coach and I am the player on this team.

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015? Eat healthier and be more active. Try not to procrastinate too much. And buy less yarn.

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share): Both 27

Issues (if any): PCOS, possible Endometriosis (will have that checked out soon per doctor). No male fertility issues, DH is good.

Chart? N/A – Gave it up for the holidays to keep us stress free and to be able to enjoy time with family and friends (so far this has worked to keep this process more fun and positive at the moment). We’ll go back to charting after the holiday season has ended and our work schedules aren’t as nuts.

Currently: CD17

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: Prenatal, Vitex, B6 and Vitamin A for me. A mens multivitamin for DH. BDing regularly, but making sure we keep it fun and stress free.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: Been doing this 16 cycles now. Never once saw a BFP. I honestly don’t know what we’ll do, I guess maybe just stare in compete shock for a while, haha.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: Continue to go about our ways of staying positive and talk to doctor about having a HSG performed (even those who didn’t have blocked tubes have seen BFPs after an HSG was done) after the holiday season and further looking into (possible) Endometriosis. Also going for my first reflexology next week! I’ve heard great things about this practice, so maybe it’ll  help me too.

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful? Have to change up my routine so I don’t fall into a rut and continue to question why my body won’t do the basic female thing. DH makes sure that we do a few fun things in our days off, and we spend time with family and friends as much as possible (especially during this holiday season).

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015? Continue to keep working towards obtaining a position in my career field that I have been wanting for a (long) while.

Ladies, I got the pathology results from my hysteroscopy, the tissue shows evidence of chronic endometritis which is an inflammation or irritation of the lining of the uterus (it is not the same as endometriosis). I have to take antibiotics for 2 weeks and then have an endometrial biopsy sometime between CD5-10 of my next cycle which should start next week, but since my RE is going on vacation before I’ll be on the antibiotics for the 2 full weeks, I’ll have to wait until my January cycle to get the test done and then wait again for the pathology results. I’m advised to not TTC until this has been cleared up and implantation is most likely not to occur if I have an active infection. I’m glad finally have the results and I’m hoping this is the answer to my unexplained recurrent pregnancy loss, but it could also have been caused by the D&C. From this timeline it seems we can’t TTC until February, which is so annoying 🙁

Hi everyone! I used to hang out on this board a bit a while ago. I tried for a while to not think about our TTC issues as much, so I stayed away for a while. That being said, I missed the community here and wanted to come back!

ROLL CALL

Age (if you care to share): 30 (DH 41)

TTC since: July 2012

TTC Recap: Our first year of TTC was pretty casual, and while we were timing intercourse, we didn’t worry about it too much. After a year, I got worried and went into the RE. I had some testing done through my HMO (HSG, some transvagnial ultrasounds) but they never found anything wrong with either me or my husband (although they also weren’t looking too hard). I’ve done 6 rounds of Letrozole with HCG trigger shots, all with no effect, and have never seen a BFP. They suggested IUI, but I am hesitant to go down that road without a proper diagnosis.I’ve loaded up my FSA for 2015, and have an appointment at a proper fertility clinic on January 6th.

Issues (if any): Nothing has been diagnoses, although after almost 2.5 years surely something must be wrong, and I’m hoping I can get diagnosed soon.

Currently: 28 DPO

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: I am currently taking PNV, Fish Oil, Folic Acid, Glutamine, and digestive enzymes (mostly for other stomach issues). For a while I went on the Alejandro Junger “Clean” diet, and I might try to do that again soon. We BP every day in the fertile window, which I identify through charting and OPKs.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: I think I will cry, and then laugh, and then cry some more! At this point I can’t even imagine that… I will probably think I’m dreaming or halucinating until I get confirmation from the doctor.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: I’ve stopped pinning my hopes on any one cycle. I guess try, try again. I’m going to get serious about cleaning up my diet and will likely start taking additional supplements.

Since TTC after 12+ cycles (or with IF) issues, is a very different experience than a fertile couple trying in the first month, how do you stay positive and hopeful? This is a hard one. For the whole second year of trying I’d cry off an on (secretly) on the first day my period started. Now I get frustrated for a few minutes, but am getting a little calous. My poor husband is really feeling it lately, and came home in tears last night which just broke my heart. I try to focus on all the other good things in my life. DH and I have a lot of fun together, and with each passing month we can become a little bit more financially stable for our future family.

And just for fun, what are your goals for 2015? Well, get pregnant is the big one. 🙂 Otherwise I want to get healthy, and finish a series of credentialing exams for my job.
