Age (if you care to share): Me: 31, DH: 30

TTC since: August 2013

TTC Recap: I got pregnant the third cycle TTC, but it turned out to be a chemical pregnancy, I then got pregnant 3 more times; all chemical pregnancies. I think I had a 5th chemical pregnancy, but I didn’t want to test. My OB started recurrent pregnancy loss testing so I had an HSG, tons of bloodwork (TSH, prolactin, MTHFR, etc), both DH and I were tested for DNA translocations. Everything was normal. I was then tested for ovarian reserve and my AMH was extremely low (0.4) according to this number my ovarian reserve is the same as of a 44 year old woman. I had an appointment with an RE and he is going to run more tests to confirm if I have diminished ovarian reserve, and he suggested us to start considering donor eggs.

Issues (if any): Recurrent chemical pregnancies (4 confirmed, maybe 5). Possible diminished ovarian reserve.

Chart? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/Turtle83

Currently: CD3 of cycle 10. I feel weird that it’s not even been a year and I’ve had so much testing done, but the recurrent losses were not normal :/ Tomorrow I’m starting the clomid challenge. I’m doing a baseline CD3 test (FSH and other hormones) and an AFC (antral follicle count). They are also repeating the AMH test. I will then take clomid from CD5 thru CD9, and my FSH will be measured again on CD10. The RE wants to confirm my ovaries are working well and the number goes back close to my baseline value. I’ve never had my FSH measured on CD3, so I’m scared it will come out high (low AMH tends to correlate with high FSH).

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: .Prenatals, Vitamin D, B-Complex, Pregnitude, CoQ10, DHEA, Royal Jelly, Maca, baby aspirin (after ovulation), OPKs, acupuncture.

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: I’ve already had a couple of BFPs and they didn’t stick, so I will probably be in a state of fear until we hear the heartbeat.

If it’s not this cycle: Keep trying. I already scheduled an appointment with another RE for a 2nd opinion at the end of May.

 And just for fun,

I know all of us will be mothers one day, so what are your favorite names for your future LOs? DH loves the name Isabella, he’s been dreaming of having a daughter since forever. For a boy, I like the name Daniel.

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, so who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC? My parents, my brothers, and my closest friends. DH is a very private person, so he hasn’t told anyone.

lindsayandchris09:  Thanks for starting the new thread, Wow! part 12, can’t believe we have gotten to that point and I have been here for every single one!!! Haha! but hope to graduate soon 🙂 I am very proud of you for coming lout on FB, its amazing to see who is struggling silently beside us.

For some reason  can’t copy and paste – grrr!

Age : 33

Cycle:  38 – TTC since July 2011. Currently CD7

TTC Recap: I went off BC at the end of June 2011, and we have been actively TTC ever since. I was naive in thinking it would happen quick! We finally got to the RE after 20 months. Initially was diagnosed as unexplained but over this past year my FSH has jumped 5 points and I am now considered DOR. Have done an HSG, SIS, AFC, and more bloodwork and ultrasounds then I can count! We have done 5 IUIs (4 with Clomid and no monitoring. 1 with injectables and monitoring) We are currently doing our first (and hopefully last) IVF!!!

Issues: DOR (Wow, first time I’ve had something to write here)

Chart: Nope. I’m a shift worker with weird sleep patterns

Supplements/How you are going after your BFP:  Currently taking Puregon 300mg, Menopur 150mg and tonight I will start Orgalutran (to prevent Oing on my own) we are doing an antagonist IVF cycle.

When I get a BFP, I’ll celebrate by:  Well, it has taken so long to get to this point that I just can’t imagine it anymore. I used to have a million and one ideas of how I would announce but those ideas have escaped me.

If Not This Cycle, We’ll: Hopefully we will have embryos to freeze and will do a FET

Names:  This is my FAVORITEroll call question!!!! I love love love names and am always so curious of what others name there babies!!!! Girl: Harper, Presley, Grier, Addison, Hadley, Peyton

Boys: Griffen, Simon, Gage, Owen, William (Will), Hayden, Miles

I could go on and on!

This Week is National Infertility Awareness Week, So who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC? My sister (to a point) and four friends (two of which are co-workers) know. There has been a lot of health issues and deaths in our family these last 3 years, I will share all we have been through  with my parents after we get our BFP. My SIL just found out there are serious complications with her baby and will likely not survive birth so it is not a great time to share (although I realize she needs support, it is just different situations)

I haven’t been TTC for a year yet, but we have recently started medical intervention (injectables) so I am hoping it is ok for me to join this thread. I could really use others to talk to about this who understand what it’s like!

Age (if you care to share): 32

TTC since: September 2013

TTC Recap: We started TTC in September 2013. I had been diagnosed with PCOS a few months beforehand, so we started off with supplements, charting/BBT, and OPKs right away, since I knew things might be tough for us. After 5 cycles (over about 7 months, since my cycles are long and irregular), we started working with a RE. We had a SHG and a SA done, which both came back normal. We decided to try accupuncture to see if that would help, but got another BFN (although it helped regulate my cycle a bit). This month we have started using injectables (gonal-f) with timed intercourse to see if that will help. I have all my fingers and toes crossed!

Issues (if any): PCOS

Chart? Not sure how to link to my chart …

Currently: CD10 – the RE just gave me my trigger shot of ovidrel this morning, so I will likely ovulate tomorrow or Thursday. So we will be BDing tonight, tomorrow, and Thursday!

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: We’re currently doing injectables with timed intercourse – 62.5 gonal-f daily from CD3-9, ovidrel trigger shot today at CD10, and I will be taking progesterone supplements throughout my luteal phase. I also take prenatals, Vitamin D, myo-inositol, CoQ10, and use charting/BBT, OPKs, and acupuncture.<br />

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: Probably cry because I’ll be so happy. And then I will probably immediately start worrying about miscarriage until I get safely into the 2nd trimester :S

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: Probably try another round of injectables. Maybe we will consider adding in IUI. Plus, I think my lining was a bit thin this cycle (only 7mm today) so I wil probably ask my RE about adding in estrogen supplements?

And just for fun,

I know all of us will be mothers one day, so what are your favorite names for your future LOs? We haven’t fully decided yet (I don’t let myself dwell on names too much yet, since I am so scared it isn’t going to happen for us). I really like Olivia for a girl and Simon for a boy though.

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, so who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC? The only people who know are my parents and my best friend.

Thanks for letting me join ladies, I really appreciate having somewhere to go to talk about everything! Good luck to everyone this month, I hope we all get our BFPs soon!

Age (if you care to share): DH and I are both 28

TTC since: July 2012

TTC Recap: DX with PCOS 2009. Started TTC the week before our wedding. We saw an RE shortly after we got back from our honeymoon due to the PCOS and I was also DX with Hyperthyroidism (Graves Disease) with a TSH of 0.008. Was treated for that but my RE wouldn’t treat me with Clomid due to my weight being over the magical 35 BMI number. She left town and her replacement was the same. Went without help for 12 months and started seing a new RE this month. Despite my weight still being an issue she has prescribed Clomid – finally!!!

Issues (if any): PCOS, Graves Disease

Chart? I have but it is not my thing. I am currently doing a monitored Clomid cycle so I don’t see the need.

Currently: Took 50mg Clomid CD 2-6 for the first time this month. Currently CD 9 and had bloods done this morning.

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: Folate, Vitamin D supplementation (was found to be low)

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: I don’t even know at this point. DH and I bought a onesie on our honeymoon that I would like to use when I tell him.

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: Do another clomid cycle. May adjust the dose depending on the results this cycle.

And just for fun,

I know all of us will be mothers one day, so what are your favorite names for your future LOs?

Girls: Harper, Ella, Nicole, Abigail, Grace, Hope

Boys: James, William, Harrison, Lucas

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, so who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC?

Nearly everyone who knows me, or asks me about babies, knows (or quickly finds out) that I am infertile. I don’t hide it though I have never come out on fb and said it. If I get my BFP and we announce it on fb I will come out then. I personally don’t believe in keeping quiet about it and that is the right thing for me though I completely understand why people do. It is a very hard and personal thing to go through.

ShellVee:  It is always hard to worry about missing a month. Don’t worry about feeling selfish. My DH hasn’t had performance issues but he found his SA really difficult. He is hoping that things work out for us ASAP as he is scheduled to have another in July if we haven’t got our BFP by then.

lindsayandchris09:  So brave of you to come out on facebook. That’s really awesome of you to do it. I can imagine there are people lurking all over the place on our friends lists who are in the same position as us and have no one to talk to.

PeachBee:  Welcome! I hope you are able to get your good news soon and your stay here is short and sweet 🙂

lonsk:  Really, really hope that this IVF is it for you! xox

I had my bloods taken this morning CD9 after taking clomid CD2-6 my levels were: E2 433, LH 10 and Progesterone 3.8

My RE has us BDing Thursday night, Saturday morning and Sunday night and more bloods on Monday CD 14. I had a quick look at what my numbers should be at this point and that looks ok. Hopefully Monday’s bloods will give us good news.

Age (if you care to share): 31 and DH is 33

TTC since: March 2013

TTC Recap: I was on Depo stopped in Oct 12, started TTC in March 12, i charted to check O (from April 12) – all seemed ok, I’ve started the testing with bloods and ultrasound – all clear. DH just did his repeat SA (all good last time, hopefully good this time too) which is all we needed to finally get our referral to a specialist. I am concerned about the specialist thou as I am overweight and I know that often they won’t come near you if you are, hoping we find one that’s a little more willing to try.

Issues (if any): currently unexplained but we have only just started the testing process

Chart? http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/ShellVee/

Currently: Probably Oing today or tomorrow because I got a +ve OPK this morning. Don’t feel positive about this month, due to SA abstinence and other issues we haven’t BD in nearly a week 🙁 nothing hanging around to catch the egg. We’ll see what happens over the next few days.

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: I’m on a cocktail ATM, prenatal, royal jelly and coQ10 I’ve been on for ages, but I added B6 and EPO this month too. The EPO has hepled CM so that’s a positive – I am not sure if the B6 is gonna do its job yet because I started taking it because it’s supposed to help with pre-AF spotting etc – who knows? *shrugs*. Oh and we WERE trying to SMEP but that damn SA interrupted that pattern so next month maybe?

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by: crying and saying “oh shit!” A lot haha – then probably tell you guys before I tell DH because I wanna do it face to face with him and likelihood is he’ll be at work when I test haha

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: SMEP again next month and wait for our specialist appointment by next month we should know WHEn that will be.

And just for fun, I know all of us will be mothers one day, so what are your favorite names for your future LOs? We haven’t really decided I have a list in my diary of dodgy names (I’m a teacher so I see lots of dodgy names haha) and a list of names DH and I have said we like so we’ll see…

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, so who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC?

My mum, 2 close friends, 2 uni friends (I came out to basically because one of them announced she was KU and I looked like I was going to cry) and pretty much everyone where I worked last year – high stress environment and quite dangerous if I did get pregnant really. I wanna come out to more people and DH doesn’t really mind if I do but I just don’t know how to “slip” it into convos… I think from now on if people ask us about kids we’ll be honest. Last year my go to was “I have a dangerous job so kids aren’t on the agenda” it worked but I dont have that excuse now… I also wish it wasn’t so secretive.

Novella:  well last time DH put it down to stress at work (it was a pretty rough month) and I thought maybe it was SA related because as soon as the results were back he was ok. This time it was before the test *sigh* IF it is the same as last time we WILL miss the window entirely again. I try to get upset but it’s me that has to get the heartbreak of dealing with AF month after month. I know he is sad about it but I am the one reminded everytime I go to the bathroom, every cramp that YET AGAIN I am not successful. And I feel like a bitch for thinking it but I do feel alone in this process… *sigh* is ok I’m Oing so highly emotional and pissy haha

lindsayandchris09:  Thanks for starting the thread. That sounds awful what you went through. I can’t imagine.

Age (if you care to share): 35

TTC since: February 2013

TTC Recap: We were just going for testing when I got my bfp after 8 cycles. The pregnancy never sat well with me though and I worried constantly. I went for 3 US and on the third one we discovered our LO no longer had a hb at 10 weeks. I had a D&C two days later. I skipped the next cycle and am now on my fourth cycle TTC since the MC.

Issues (if any): I have slight hypothyroidism which is being treated. I have a fibroid but they don’t seem concerned. All of the rest  of my tests are fine. DH’s tests are within normal limits but morphology is on the high side of normal.

Chart? http://fertilityfriend.com/home/466828

Currently: CD 23 of cycle 12. Just got crosshairs, latest ever but it means we had great timing.

Supplements/how are you going about your BFP: Pregnacare, b complex, eltroxin, asperin after o

When I get my BFP, I’ll celebrate by:

Honestly, waiting on 12 week scan to do my dance and praying to St Gerard Magellan to protect my LO. I’m not that religious but my MIL said the same prayers when DH was born (very premature).

If it’s not this cycle, we’ll: We’re trying two cycles of clomid with a trigger shot.

And just for fun,I know all of us will be mothers one day, so what are your favorite names for your future LOs? I’m not sure. We were barely in discussions when we lost our last LO

This week is National Infertility Awareness Week, so who all knows IRL, of your troubles TTC?  Most of my friends know of my MC so they know we’re TTC. I only talk to my mom, MIL, my sister and three close friends. I’ve recently started talking to another friend who reached out and is going through TTC stuff too.

ShellVee:  I know how you feel about worrying about the specialist and weight. It took me three specialists to find one who didn’t dismiss me straight away because I wasn’t at the weight that they saw fit. I understand why it is important to be at a healthy weight and the risks associated with being overweight when pregnant but having struggled with my weight my entire life it only made it harder to deal with being infertile and worried that I would never have children because no one would help me. I can recommended mine but from memory you are in SA or VIC or WA – looks like I have a bad memory 😉 so that won’t help!

Novella:  i’m in WA. I’ve looked into it and I have about 6 different places within the city I can try so fingers crossed one of them will give me a chance. I may be overweight and yes I get the risks etc but the Dr did all the “overweight” tests too (ie cholesterol, BP, lipids, liver function, diabetes etc etc) and I was given the all clear so I am healthy other than the fact I can’t lose weight (I regularly go to the gym and am generally healthy so its not like I am not trying to get healthy).

Is fine you didn’t know that I was in WA thou because I don’t usually specify where in Aus I am hehe

ETA: any chance you can please PM me the name of your company because they might just have a sister company in Perth 🙂
