0% Declines With Regrets! Everyone we invited is coming (not counting unused +1’s). There were some wildcards that I really didn’t know if they’d come, but they all accepted.
They like us, they really, really like us! Doing a little happy dance! 🙂

@Goofball: Haha that’s really awesome! Good thing you only invited who you could seat! Congrats!

We only had ONE couple decline, it was so weird!

@Goofball: This is why everyone is always told to expect 100% attendance! Congrats 🙂

Well done! We had only a few declines. Did you send out STDs? We did and I think it makes all the difference! If you didn’t then an even bigger well done!

I should probably qualify the above by saying we are having a relatively small wedding. 36 invites with 10 +1’s so max of 48 with FH and me. We were originally planning closer to 30, but at the last minute I decided I really wanted to invite my mom’s 4 sisters (and their husbands) who I haven’t had contact with in at least two years since their mother passed away (my grandma). (My mom passed away 5 years ago so communication just sort of slipped away, no bad blood or anything.) So they didn’t even know I was dating anybody much less engaged and getting married. 🙂 One of my aunts wrote a little note saying she was happy to learn I’ve found my someone. I thought my sister was ignoring me since she didn’t RSVP but her invite came back undeliverable a month later, one day after the RSVP date so I texted her a picture of the invite and she accepted via text (classy I know!) There were a couple of people from FH side we didn’t know for certain if they would come since it’s a holiday weekend.
@FromA2B2013: Nope, no STD’s. Although we did spread the word to about 90% of the guest list at other family gatherings.
@Bebealways: What was weird, that they declined or were the only ones?

Congrats! That’s so nice!

That’s awesome – since you’re okay with it, ha! I would have a panic attack if everyone on our 165 (and climbing) guest list was a yes! Thankfully we’ve budgeted for (and can fit) 200, so it wouldn’t be the end of the world, but I just dont want to have to worry about that many people!

@Goofball: That they were the only ones. It was amazing to me that so many people rsvp’d yes!

@Bebealways: they like you, they really really like you 🙂
@StL.Ashley: thanks! I guess that’s one of the good things about a small guest list, it really helped us focus on who we really wanted to share the day with, which is why it’s exciting that everybody is coming.
