You didn't say what your issue was. I like keeping one in my desk at work for emergency rations. If I had a box I'd eat the box , so these packs help me stay on plan.
Some are actually tasty to eat....but some are sooooooooooooooo nasty!! Calories must be DELICIOUS!!
I suck every last crumb out of the bag. If you are going to restrict me to 100 calories then I am going to get every one of them. They always leave me wanting!
i prefer the 100 calorie pack Oreos to real Oreos! I really don't care for the filling.
I do love them. I have the boxes at work so I don't go to the snack machine. It's just not enough sometimes!
I hadn't had a snack today and I just had the Fudge Shoppe mini brownies. Those things were gone in like 2 seconds! lol So mad. ha ha ha.
If you have to choose between a 100 calorie pack and a bag of greasy chips, you are definitely better off choosing the 100 calorie pack. But honestly those things are just bags of 100 empty calories that leave you just as hungry as when you started. Better to pick a fruit or veggie instead. Better substitutes would be a graham cracker with peanut butter or nonfat greek yogurt and a few chocolate chips!
I love them! I just finished a bits & bites one and couldn't understand how they managed to make such a salty snack with such a low calorie count...
The short bread ones are my favourite :)
They just aren't enough food - I feel just as hungry after my snack as before my snack. So unfulfilling.
The only one I eat is the 100calorie popcorn one. But I just bought a popcorn popper and when I put in half a cup of corn, it's 100calories. And it's a LOT of popcorn! Way more than the one that comes prepackaged. It doesn't taste as good though
Um, I think most of them taste pretty icky, but other than that they really don't piss me off. lol
I'm not surprised your not feeling satisfied after eating one of those little measly bags! What about bringing something really good for you so you can eat more? At least then you would be somewhat full. Like, avocado chocolate "pudding"?
@Tunacupcakes: Yeah I feel pretty full after having one. It depends on the time of day. Usually I do bring grapes or those laughing cow cheese wedges with me, but some days it's just a mad dash from getting up so I keep food here just in case.
:nods: I completely understand. For me it's a mad dash to school and then volunteer work and then my homework.
You feel full after having one? lol I could eat 5 and still feel like I needed something more.
I dislike them with a passion. It seems like just an excuse to jack up the price and add more packaging, and I hate wasteful packaging with a passion.
I just finished a 100 calorie popcorn. That's the ONLY 100 calorie pack that is somewhat realistic. Those other ones are only good if you're not actually hungry, you just want a little taste of something.
@Miss Tattoo:My BF has pointed out that it's still like you're eating crap...did you know she have to run a mile to burn off 100 calories? He says to me "Do you really want to run a mile to eat five cheese its?" NO!
@bRooklynRocks: Try using the I cant believe its not butters spray, a bit of garlic salt and a touch of cayenne and its delicious!
I make all my popcorn on the stove and use popcorn salt (very fine salt) and its so tasty.
Other variations with the spray butter, ranch seasoning or parmesean
So, i know that you said already that you're busy and have to make mad dashes everywhere so this might not be feasible for you...but a couple of weeks ago i invested in a digital scale (mostly for portion monitoring, but also for this purpose), and on sunday afternoons now i make snack packs for the week, with stuff i like naturally prepared, rather than the packs they sell (which, i agree with a PP, are totally overpackaged and over chemicalised). Sometimes i use rice crackers, sometimes i make toasted almonds or granola, sometimes its candies or vegetable sticks with humous, aometimes popcorn, but i try to make them as close to 100 calories as possible. It takes the guesswork out of it, and i can throw them from the fridge or cupboard into my bag as quickly as the store bought.
@lefeymw: Oh, I use the spray and a mixture of salt and sugar, tres deliciouso but it's not really the same as the prepackaged stuff. There's just something about preservatives :(
The 100 calorie pack oreos are really good, but definitely leave me hungry afterwards. I could eat 4 bags of those...haha. I'm not crazy about the others that I've tried...the cheese nips don't taste right.
YES. particularly the mini chocolate chip muffins. there are TWO. please. all that means is i eat a whole box.
@lalalalinzii: That is so true!! LOL Now, I have to ask myself that before I endulge.
I won't lie, in undergrad when I was running over 11 miles a day and didn't cook ever, I'd eat the full box of Cheetos 100 calorie packs for dinner with some carrots. Yeah, I was REALLY healthy.
i know what you mean, but i LOVE the 100 cal packs of chocolate covered pretzels. They are delicious!!!! I find that if I don't bring something sweet in my lunch I am like a crazy person and I will eat a lot more of whatever sweet thing I can find.
@nut9108: Agreed! Celery with some peanut butter is great too! If you're on the go a couple almonds and a banana is great too. Fruits & Veggies will fill you up more than most other things.
Fruit and veggies do NOT fulfill a chocolate craving, though. LOL Not enough apples in the world could taste as good as some yummy chocolate.
I love some of them, but I think 2-3 bags is what I would need to be fulfilled. LOL
One of the yummiest snacks I came up with was mixing walnuts or almonds in a baggie with chocolate teddy grams. So good and not insanely bad for you.
A total rip-off IMO. Just grab a snack baggie and put in a portion size of whatever. So much cheaper!
@Jenn23: There's nothing with some chocolate dipped strawberries and other things. The key is... if you are going to have chocolate your best choice is some quality chocolate... not the iimitation low fat stuff, ect. But obviously, it's not good for you all the time.
@RR: I was just making a joke. This thread was about the choc. snacks being too small (which I agree!) and was just saying that fruit and veggies (even though they may fill me up) won't "do the trick" when I need my chocolate. That's all! :)
@Jenn23: You used CAPS ;) I just wanted to bring up the fact that some real chocolate is soooo much better than the little packs. It's definately more satisfying. It's better to get rid of the packs all together IMO... eat fruits and veggies and craving when craving the good stuff - have some! I think the 100 calorie packs are such a marketing ploy. That's all :) Hey, I'm all for chocolate, no arguments from me :)
LMAO! Yes, they do. The only way I can eat only one is if it is the only one left.
They are terrible! All they do to me is tease me LOL I refuse to eat them because after I do its like "mmmmm that was good, but now I want more of them"

I just want to scream at the box that it's not fair sometimes!
