That is so sweet, and I'm sure he'll be surprised--and happy to have such a thoughtful FI! As for surprises from me, I'm baking cookies today for him to find when he gets home. Hopefully he doesn't finish the whole plate tonight!

That's so sweet!! Hmm....1000 days....how many months/years is that? We have to be somewhere around there...
@amanda.lynn-I just googled countdown timer and it came up with a bunch of links. We've been together 672 days since our first date January 9, 2008!

Our number wouldn't be as impressive! We have only been together a year and we have been engaged for 6 months ;) we were quick!
heh you could celebrate any day you want! it's all arbitrary :) I just happened to see a blog post about someone celebrating 1000 days and i figured our time had to be coming up, and it was!

Today is 1000 days since FI and my's first date. I know it isn't a real anniversary... but I thought it was kind of cool! I told him a while back that our 1000 day mark was coming up, but I haven't mentioned it in about a month so I'm sure he doesn't remember.
I got him a card and a box of his favorite candy (sour patch kids). I also got him a blu-ray because he has been SO good about not shopping this year due to saving for my ring and our wedding and I wanted him to have something new (he loooooooooves movies). I wrote some nice stuff in the card, wrapped it all up, and put it under the sheets on his side of the bed. He always goes to bed before me so when he goes up he will see it and be surprised-- I can't wait! Hopefully I can make it through hanging out tonight without spilling the beans. :)
