- Wedding: August 2012
Location: Tabor Home Winery, NE Iowa
When: August 25, 2012, Saturday
How Many People: 200
Ceremony Venue: $300 for the venue w/ rehearsal use + $550 for chair rental
Musicians: Ruby&Chase – they were amazing, totally worth the extra $300!
Officiant: Barbara Campagna, $175 for ceremony and rehearsal. (this included a 45 minute drive for her!) She was really great to work with and took a lot of stress off my shoulders by taking charge of the rehearsal. (Our original jp would not do the rehearsal and was only $25 cheaper).
Reception Hall: $500(?) for The Memorial Hall. Gorgeous venue w/ wood floors and an open ceiling with wood beams and chandeliers.
Transportation: $327 for a 14 passenger limo bus for 1-1/2 hours. Took us from ceremony venue to bridge location for pictures, bar stop, and then reception hall.
DJ: $625, 6 hours, The AfterParty
Alcohol: $1000 (we had an open bar with a $1000 limit, which we hit at 9 pm!)We also spent an additional $150 for a wine/cocktail hour at the ceremony venue, which was so much fun and definetly worth the extra money. It gave us time to visit with all our guests immedietly following the ceremony, and gave our guests a chance to sample the wine from Tabor Home.
Catering (w/gratuity and taxes): $1200 for buffet. Kalmes’ Catering out of St. Donatus. Included chicken and/or beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, rolls, coleslaw.
Cake: $350. We had our 3 tier cake below designed to match my dress, only the top was ‘real’ and then had 2 large sheet cakes with chocolate cake w/ fudge filling, red velvet with cream cheese frosting, and white cake with strawberry filling. Amazingly good, enough for 200. The topper was DIY. The ‘brides’ dress is made from fabric from MY dress. 🙂
Photographer: $1200, Rairdin Photography (6 hours, 1 photographer, all rights to pictures)
Flowers: $850 DIY. I ordered 3 kinds of roses in pale pink and white from fifty flowers. Enough for 40 centerpieces, 6 bouquets, and 18 corsages/bouteniers.
Misc. Decor: $200 DIY. This is a guestimate, I collected blue ball jars from a variety of sources for little money, had vintage doilies that were about $1 each, DIY burlap banners, chalkboard windows and trays I made, etc. Lots of stuff that I already had.
Favors: $200 for homemade Jam in 4 oz jars, guestimate for 150
Misc. Rentals (cocktail tables and linens): $150 for 2 cocktail tables and 11 linen tablecloths.
