DIYers: What program did you use to design your invitations?

posted 2 months ago in Beehive

Hello friends!

I'm designing our invitations, and was wondering what program I should use. It's a fairly complex design, I think, so I need all the help I can get!

 Thanks! :)

I've used a mix of Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, and Publisher.

I used Illustrator, because it was the only software program my printer would accept. I would start by determining who is going to print your invites and what software they accept.

I am obsessed with Adobe Photoshop Cs3. or any photoshop for that matter. i use it for all my designing purposes. I hear everyone uses illustrator, but i've never used it.

I used a mac program called Pages. It's a part of the iWork set. Love, love, loved it! I use it all the time and for everything. If you have a mac it's a great investment! Highly recommend!

I used photoshop Cs2. It was the only way I could print the invitation with the design at the size I wanted it.

If you can't afford it you can always download the new version for free for 30 days, it takes a little bit to get a hang of it (but you can find great tutorials online).

I'm with bonniebelle101 - I also used Pages, and it was phenomenal. So much easier than trying to format in Word. I created the image I used in Photoshop Elements.
