A friend of mine had them done, and they looked great until they started growing out a bit, which for her took less than a week. The section where they were attached was very visible to the naked eye, and I found it very distracting when looking at her. It looked like there was something caught in her lashes.
If your natural lashes are already long but you want more fullness, I would just go for a thickening mascara, or wear falsies on your wedding day. No need to risk harming your own. I'm in the same boat as you - mine are long and thin. My aesthetician suggested dying them, which I did, but it didn't have the effect I was hoping for. I'll be wearing falsies on my day!
Is there a reason to prefer eyelash extensions to false eyelashes? It seems like they are essentially the same thing except eyelash extensions would last longer, but as Caroline pointed out, when they start to grow out it might look weird. Also, from what I have read you have to go in for touch-ups every two to three weeks, so factor that into the cost. Also, given the potential for something going wrong, I would lean toward using fakes for the day-of. Find someone who is good at applying the fake single eyelashes and you will probably get the same effect for less money and less worry.

I wore "falsies" on my day, and although they were half hanging off by the end of the night, they did what I needed for the day which was make my eyes pop for photos. Extensions aren't bad, but they can pull your natural lashes out, which is exactly what has happened to me because I get mine done once/twice a month. Although there are hundreds of mascaras, if you just want more fullness for your natural lashes, I highly recommend Maybelline XXL. The microfiber basecoat does wonders.

Also, we trimmed them a bit so they looked like real lashes. I LOVED them. I wouldn't do eyelash extensions, not only are they expensive but have a tendency to look very fake. I also love Maybelline mascara, but I use Full 'n Soft. It works wonders for my stubby, thin eyelashes.
Recently my girlfriend, who by the way is the model for Bel-Air Veils, asked every one of her friends if she should or shouldnt, everyone said go for it, I said DONT. Firstly she didnt need them! But besides I am against trying anything new 3 mos before the wedding. She got them, from the best person in Beverly Hills and well...by the time of her wedding most had fallen off, had pulled off many of her real lashes and she had some red puffiness that didnt go down for days. I say if you have time to give it a go (and time to re-grow your lashes) then go ahead, her reaction is not usual I understand, but false eyelashes (especially individual ones) look great too, just make sure you test out all the glues beforehand!
I am seriously considering extensions. They are expensive, I know. But they look so pretty!
Has anyone had a good/bad experience? I have decent lashes now (just wish they were fuller) and would DIE if I ruined them from extensions.
