I would like to make some notecards for my daughter's friends for birthdays and other gifts. They have stickers with their names on it at school using a similar font, so that they can learn to write their names (she's 4). I thought it would be cute to do a letter box for the kids with note cards, stamps, pens, etc.
Good idea. I guess it wouldn't be hard to create, but it would be much easier if it was already a thing! I ordered it from her today, so I'll ask. Why didn't I think of this?
Thank you! Do I need Illustrator to turn a font into dots? I haven't bought it yet, but am in the process of deciding that I must have it. It's totally worth it right? I just bought a gocco and I love to make things, so I need it. Yep, that's it. I need it. ;)
As a designer, I use Illustrator, but as long as you have the font then I'm pretty sure you could do it in a number of drawing programs. Give OpenOffice Draw a try, or try Inkscape, they are both free.
Has anybody seen a font close to this?

Check out Dot Matrix on dafont or Frieze OT.
You could also make dots out of a regular font in Illustrator. :)
HTH!

I'm excited now that I've found the font.
