We got several checks at our wedding and deposited them the next day right before leaving on our honeymoon. We didn't write down who they were from though! There's no way of finding out. We remember all but one check and it might be from one of two couples. Either they didn't get us anything or wrote us that check. Should I send a thank you card to both or neither? This also serves as a cautionary tale!
I thought I was the only one who had this problem! I recently finished up my thank you cards but honestly couldn't remember what some ppl gave us! So I just used a generic "thank you for your generous gift" and I don't think they'll be able to tell that I forgot what they got us! At least I hope not...
Not sure what bank you have but usually you can go to your online banking and they will have the cancelled checked scanned in for you to view. Then you can see what name appears on the check. Then you will know who sent it. If you can't figure it out just send a nice thank you note thanking them for coming and sharing in your special day.
You should be able to call the bank and get a copy of the check. Are you worried about putting the actual amount on the thank you note or did one person give you a check and one a gift?
