I have not been able to find an 8 or 9 tier, square, cake stand... HELP!! I know where to find the fabric to make it look like the one on the site.. I just need to find the stand first. Please let me know where to find one, preferably not at an astronomical price =)
I think that could make it out of wood, like Tall Bride said. You could probably use lightweight wood to do it, since cupcakes are very heavy. Call Vanilla Bakeshop and ask them, I bet they would tell you how to make it or where to find it.
Looking at the image you posted, I think they actually used a 7 tier stand. The cupcakes are on 5 of the tiers, and then two of the middle tiers were used to make the "boxes" (bottom "box" would just be an extension down from the bottom tier). Do you just need a larger one? If the 7-tier would do, I found this (bottom of the page): http://www.sugarcraft.com/catalog/misc/cupcakes/fairystands2.html. Warning though--it's $200! Good luck!
On second thought (yes, I'm still thinking about this), what about using Etsy Alchemy to see if you could find someone to make one for you (sounded like you weren't interested in DIY)? Looking at the pic again, it looks like you'd have to have some tiers that were the same width to make the damask parts--sounds like an even bigger challenge to find in a premade cupcake stand!
Ok ladies, I have a challenge for you! I absolutely fell in love with this cupcake setup.. http://www.vanillabakeshop.com/gallery.php?cakecat=sweets#hero
It's the first one with the damask print on it.

As for the stand at the top... heres a GIANT one made of plexi http://cgi.ebay.com/HUGE-SQUARE-WEDDING-FAVOUR-CUP-CAKE-FAVOUR-TOWER-STAND_W0QQitemZ150287978167QQihZ005QQcategoryZ57211QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD2VQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1638Q2em122#ebayphotohosting
but they also have some pretty glass one layer stands on ebay as well.
