I decided to go with artificial flowers a while back because of our remote wedding location in Himalayan India, where there isn't a florist. I'd really been struggling to decide what type of silk roses (white or pale pink, big or small) to use for my bouquet and our reception decorations, until yesterday. I happened across these and grabbed up every last one they had at at Michaels. They're called "Confections" and rightfully so! Big, fluffy, champagne colored and wonderful. Also, not quite as cheesy as the things I was seeing at Garden Ridge.
So, do you think these look alright considering they're silk? Do you like the color and shape? And what kind bouquet (or hanging ball thingy) do you think would look good made of these sugar puffs?
PS I started off this post to see if people could tell they were silk in the pictures I took myself! Sorry for the moment of deception. EEK! You bees are just so clever!
I'm no florist, but my first impression is that they look like the big fake roses you can get at craft stores. I would go to hobby lobby or michaels and buy a few so you can play around with them and see what you like. I don't know what specific breed of roses they model them after, but they definitely look like those!
I am not sure what kind of roses they are, do you realize they are silk? Not that you can't have silk roses at you wedding, but that is probably why they look so perfect.
While your roses do look like silk roses and not real ones, I don't know if that is necessarily a horrible thing. A large pomander of silk rose heads might look very lovely. I would play around with them, maybe mix some other textured flowers or materials in with the roses. On their own they look unnatural, but if you add some smaller silk flowers, buds, or even berries, pods, and other unusual textures, you could come up with something great!

Thank you so much!
