I recently started looking at wedding bands (white gold), and most of what we’ve seen in stores (very limited thus far) seem to be 10KT. I’m not opposed to the 10KT as it would actually be more durable, and I’d be a bit less worried about normal wear and tear. I am more concerned about the varied metals next to each other.
For reference, my Engagement Ring has small prong-set diamonds on the top, front and back, and millgrain detail lining at the edges. For wedding bands, I am looking at partial eternity bands (1/2-3/4), also with small round diamonds and millgrain detail.I posted pics below of my Engagement Ring and some potential thought starters for engagement rings.
I should note that I do not plan on soldering my rongs together, as I’d like the freedom to wear the wedding band with or without my e-ring.
Also, if you have suggestions for other e-rings that would look good please post!!

I think you’re okay with mixing white gold as long as they are both rhodium plated, because that makes the metals the same color anyway.
I really love the bottom two bands.

I am no jeweler, but I’d go with a band that lies flush with your e-ring. If there are edges on the wedding ring which is 10k, there could be rubbing which could cause damage to your e-ring which is 14k. I was warned of this when I purchased a new ring to go with my wedding ring.

By The Way, I love your e-ring!

if they’re both rhodiumed they will look exactly the same even if one is 10k

Thanks for the input (and compliment!) ladies! I guess my concerns are 1) wearing/discoloring at different rates (not sure if this is really an issue? I could always have them re-rhodium plated I suppose…) and 2) wear. I’m actually concerned about wear of anything on my e-ring with the millgrain and the diamonds, but I’m not sure if that of a harder metal (10K) will do more/faster damage than if the metals were the same.
Oh, and I meant to ask if anyone had any suggestions for other WEDDING BANDS, not e-rings! I love mine and I’m keeping it! haha
