My father passed away ten years ago. Originally, I was going to just skip the father/daughter dance at our reception. However, I have grown very close to both my future MIL and FIL.
I decided to ask my future FIL to do a first dance with me. He was so touched that he got teary eyed. I knew that I had made the right decision by his reaction and mine!
Now, I am just trying to find the right song for us to dance to. Does anyone have any suggestions?

mr. bop and his mom danced to louis armstrong's what a wonderful world. during their dance, i surprised FIL and asked him to dance. it was the perfect song for all of us.
Treat Her Right by Sawyer Brown (if you like country, this is a nice song that can be interpreted as being addressed to your FH from your FIL about you... does that make sense?)
