I'm 12/12/09 too! (Catching up on the wedding planning as we're just now finalizing a venue.)

    Tulipcarnation,

Where are you getting married? We're having both our ceremony and reception at the Newberry Library.

    Congrats!

We're getting married at St. Mary of the Woods (catholic church far NW side of Chicago); he grew in the neighborhood, so it means a lot to our families to have the ceremony there.

For reception, we're looking at venues near rosemont/o'hare. But I'd love to do a rehearsal dinner near downtown if we can swing it.

ps. Newberry looks like a great choice! should be beautiful.

I guess you can say we're day TRIPLETTS because I'm getting married on 12/12/09 too! Where are you guys on the planning process? I have booked all my vendors and still need to find a florist. Buy my to-do list still seems endless =[

I'm at the same place as you - soon2beebride. I've booked major vendors, ordered invites, but still need to figure out what I'm doing about flowers. Florists just seem so expensive and there are such great DIY bouquet tutorials etc on here. Is buying in bulk online and assembling them myself crazy? http://www.flowers.pacificcallas.com/callalilyweddings.htm

I also need to find a rehearsal dinner venue. I'm realizing I should have started this earlier b/c lots of places are booked for holiday work parties!
