I love the tradition of serving a salted coffee with no complaints and cutting the ribbons. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Congratulations on your engagement.

Congratulations!  My husband is Turkish and we did all of these traditions too (not the salted coffee, but I’ve heard all about it), just slightly out of order, and slightly untraditionally… We live in the US, and his family lives in Turkey, so things went a little differently.

 

We met in Istanbul, I love that city!! In fact, he’s there right now. ๐Ÿ™‚
