Do any of you bees have a reeeeallly thin band? I’m talking 1.5mm and under. If so, how is it holding up and how often do you wear your ring?
There’s this ring that caught my eye… but the band is only 1.3mm. It’s 14k white gold.

@Peaceoutboyscout: Commenting to follow. I actually bought a 1.1 mm band; I think that’s about as thin as they get! I’m hoping it doesn’t warp… getting married in less than 1 month.

@Peaceoutboyscout: I have a platinum band that is about 2mm, however it has a nice thick band height-wise that keeps it from warping (perhaps 3mm on the top). It is very solid and I’ve bashed it into all kinds of things without any issues at all. So if you are buying a super thin band, definitely check the height. If it’s thin in all directions, it is likely to warp, however if it is solid in other ways, you’ll probably be fine.

@Peaceoutboyscout: I love mine! No issue after 2 years.

Mine is very thin! I think it’s 1.5
Even tho it’s very delicate, it feels very sturdy at the same time, if that makes any sense at all

@FutureDrAtkins: ahh only a month away?? eek! Your diamond band is the 1.1 right? I love your stack. The amethyst band is to dieee for.
@Penang1885: mind posting a picture so I can see what you mean about the height?
@lolot: 70 years?? That’s insane. And amazing!! I have a 1.8mm right now and it seems pretty sturdy.
@Pollywog: pictures or it never happened! Lol
@cls9q: I looooooove your ring. round stones are so not me but you make me want one. I think it’s because your band is so dainty. The ring I have my eye on has pave too. I love that look.
So if the band were to warp is there any fixing it? Or will it just keep warping?

Im not sure what mm my band is but I know it’s pretty thin!

My engagement ring is very thin. 1mm or so. I wear it doing EVERYTHING, and it has French set diamonds along the band. I have had no problems.

I have a 2mm band and regret it. I thought anything smaller would be too thin, but this 2mm band seems too wide now that I am wearing it every day. I think 1.3 mm would be lovely and will hold up great — I have friends with bands this thin, and I envy them! 🙂

i have to look at my paperwork but mine is either 1.5mm or 2 mm and I have been wearing it for a year now…. woo hoo got engaged last feb and married in october. I have bumped it on a couple of things and it is not bent or messed up. I like a think band and I have big fingers size 9.5 because I do stackable bands and I can get very creative because my fingerspace is not taken up by a thick band.

@Peaceoutboyscout: mine is 1.3 mm and i love it – it feels super sturdy. it’s shared prong instead of pave so not as delicate and i have no hesitation about it’s thickness.

Mine is a little over 2mm and it has been fine. I think if the ring is made well it will be built to last 🙂

@priyawouldntwannabeya: your set looks gorgeous!!! Can we see a shot from the top?

I have a 1.4mm pave band, it is very thin, but I had it custom made to have more depth so it would be stronger. So it is 2mm high. I just got it so I cannot comment on how long it will last, but it feels sturdy enough. I would not wear it for cleaning or yard work though.
for some perspective
