14k is really coppery, Im not into it at all but some love how PINK it is. If you love the peach of 18k, definitely get 18k.

I have 14k rose gold (my skin is pale though, sorry).  But I will say that in some lighting it looks more pink/peach like here….And sometimes more gold, like here…

I have medium brown (South Asian) skin, have a rose gold 18K ring and it looks great! FI got it at brilliance.com for a substantial discount. I’m planning on pairing it with a very thin matching rose gold with some stones wedding band.

This here is me with 14K gold

And here I am with 18K gold. I have medium darkish Asian/middle Eastern skin and I think that they both look good.

hermionegranger :  Since you mentioned you were Indian, I’m not sure if the whole carat thing is a family issue or not, but for my FI it was necessary and customary in his family to not get less than 14 carat band (he’s Tamil, fwiw). But he found it really difficult to get an 18 carat ring in most standard jewelery stores in the US, so he ended up buying online through brilliance.com.

18k rose gold band on my medium dark skin. It is peachy, which I love but in some lightings it can look coppery pink, not that I mind 🙂 Any kind of rose gold is hard to find over here so it was custom made. However, the colour of rose gold -14 or 18k- varies from one jeweller to the next. Hope you’ll find what you’re looking for 🙂
