- Wedding: September 2014 - Cadillac mountain
I’ve seen lots of posts by brides with budgets 10x mine, so I thought I’d share a breakdown of myy 1500 dollar budget! We are getting marred in a small sunrise ceremony and then having a reception the next day at my parents house
Dress – $150 I bought it on Etsy and am IN LOVE with it!
His shirt – $40 since we are having a casual wedding, he is wearing slacks & a vest he already had
Shoes – $150 we are both wearing custom converse
Best friend gifts (we are both having our closest friendsas our witnesses) – $150 total I also go them custom converse
Venue – $50 for the park permit and free for the reception
Officiant – free a family friend has offered to do it for free
Invites – $60 on vistaprint
Headband – $30 on Etsy
Favors – $75 custom koozie’s for everyone
Cake/cupcakes – Free as my mom is a pastry chef
Food – $50 for us, my dad is a chef and is colaborating with my mom to make all of our food (I have allergies, so this was the only safe way to do it)
Alcohol – $50 we are having a 12-4 reception to cut down on booze costs and are just doing 2 premade drinks
Decor – $60 I made almost all of it
Bouquet – $35 it is paper flowers
Coffee mugs for the folks coming to the sunrise ceremony – $35 I DIY’d those too
Hotel the night before – $75
Legal jazz – $50
Cuff links & ties – $30 I found cute cufflinks on Etsy and cheap ties online!
Cake topper/cupcake wrappers – $40 Etsy again<br /><br />
Total so far – $1125
I’ve still got a month to go, so I may end up buying a few more things & I’ve got some room left to do that 🙂
We aren’t doing a rehersal per say since its such a tiny ceremony, but we are doing dinner with family the night before. We aren’t paying for people’s dinners. We are also doing breakfast the morning of the wedding after the ceremony, but my dad is picking up the tab for that. We estimate that’ll be around $300.
