    Oh my. AMAZING. Luckily around my high school it wasn't THIS bad, but I know now my district (and not a big one at that) has a day care. I haven't been out of HS long but my gosh how times have changed.

    That was great! I can't stand shows that glorify those messed up relationships.

    I don't think it's funny at all...I think it's kind of a slap in the face to teens who had unplanned pregnancies. Or moms who have gone to college, raised their child by themself and have had to figure life out the hard way. People get pregnant while still using protection, you know.

    Someone posted it on facebook this morning and it pissed me off. Sorry, I'm a little bitter about it.

    ETA: I'm not saying teen pregnancy is great at all. I can't believe their are teenagers trying to get pregnant or being reckless about using protection...but for those people who have gone through a really rough life and end up pregnant at a young age, it's just not easy to have a show that's like, "oh hey...you're a loser and a failure. So funny." . Just my opinion on it.

    Someone always has to be offended don't they. Can't just take this as a little funny and not get all up in arms about it.

    @MsBrooklynA: I'm not offended by this thread infact, I'm rarely offended by anything. I just really don't like shows that make fun anyone. Sorry for expressing my opinion, thought that's what public forums are for.

    @Heatherloveskenny:

    Have you watched "16 and pregnant"?

    Rather than making fun of young mothers...I felt that this made fun of the show itself. There has been a lot of controversy about the show and if it is glorifying teen pregnancy. I personally think all the "slams" on the teens in this parody are more of a reaction to their portrayal on the show instead of actually slamming teen moms in general.

    I don't feel like 16 & pregnant glorifies teen pregnancy. I actually think it makes it look hard and gives a real view. But there is a lot of talk about teens thinking it's "cute" to get pregnant and if this show is part of the problem. I feel that the parody is trying to make the point that no one is making a show about kids who don't get pregnant, go to college, etc....

    And you are 100% correct that you have every right to express yourself on here.

    "...and she didn't even know she was pregnant." Probably wrong to laugh but since I am the product of a teenager getting pregnant I guess I'm entitled to.

    Haha, I will admit I watch a lot of 16 and pregnant, so I thought this was very funny. "My parents didn't have me until their early 30s, and I think I'm destined to follow in their footsteps." So funny!

    @spraguebride: I get what you're saying - I got a little emotional about it since my younger sister got pregnant at 17, but still worked during college and graduated with a bachelors degree...she's one of the most amazing mom's I've ever met. So I tend to get defensive when people say, "all teen mom's are screw up's".

    On the other hand, I can't stand most of the mom's on sixteen and pregnant...so I understand - personally, I think MTV should stop the with the new casts. No one should "want" to get on that show! But I'll stop with the seriousiness in this thread (and the bad grammer, I was typing fast...whoops).
