I think it’s about 20-30% so you might get down to that.

I think you’re safe.  We invited around 200 and are at 140.  The acceptance rate depends on how far guests need to travel.

It depends–where/when is your wedding! You get higher deline rates near holidays and in the dead of winter if you get married someplace with heavy snowfall.

Our wedding was 11 hours from my extended family and 12 hours from his (Long Island and Chicago, got married in Upstate NY near both our immediate families). We got TONS of ‘no’ rsvps!

@asb983:  we had a total guest list of 210 and right now if the # of people who have not respond decide they are coming we will have 188 people

We invited 176 and our final amount is 130. We also do not have many out of town guests or anything that would make the “No’s” big.

wow  – this is so sad to see so many people having such large numbers of declines :/ I didnt expect that high of a decline rate.

@asb983:  10% if most guests are local and it’s on a Saturday night.  20-30% if it’s somewhat of a DW for guests (3+ hours of travel.)  50%+ if it is a destination wedding (6+ hours of travel.)

We invited 170 and ended up with 120, so you just never know.

We invited 175 and ended up with 137. Our wedding is semi-DW, about 1.5 hours away from most of our family and friends and a lot further from my family.

They say about 20% but some bees have had 100% attend. I, on the other hand, invited 125 and only 60 guests showed 🙁

@asb983:  I invited that many and we had about 100 show.  However, the wedding was a 5 hour drive for the majority of the guests, a lot of older relatives declined, and it was still school season (affected some cousins in college).

We asked that it be adults only, and honestly only one couple didn’t make it because of that.  It was also on a Friday, and I don’t think that affected the declines much either (as in those were mostly older people and travel issues).

i would expect nobody NOT to come. especially if everyone is in the general vicinity.

maybe that’s just my opinion.
