After a few months of searching, I’m having a tough time finding a black suit or tux for our 1-1/2 year old ring bearer, who will be in 18-month-old clothing.
I’ve looked online at all of the department stores and baby specialty stores with no luck (the suits I have found are $70+, which for an 18-month piece of clothing is WAY too much!). I’ve found a few on Amazon that could work, but prefer to buy from a vendor with a good return policy in case it doesn’t fit.
Anyone have any suggestions? Or anyone have a black suit/tux that they’d like to sell? I’m just looking for a simple black suit or tux with white shirt. The bottoms can be shorts or pants; considering the wedding is in July I’m leaning towards shorts.
Thanks for your help!

@Jen83MN: This is a perfect item to buy from Craigslist or Ebay. Usually they have been worn for a couple of hours at most.

I’d also suggest going to a store that is more for Quinceañera (most likely in a more Latin part of town). They usally have great deal on mini-tuxes and flower girl dresses.

@Jen83MN: Look at the vendor Gino Giovanni on amazon. We paid $35 for my nephew, and he looked great! I have a post here that shows the little guys in their outfits. They arrived in a timely manner and they looked so handsome too!!!

@Jen83MN: PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update after your wedding and let me know how having an 18 month old ring bearer went? we are thinking about having my cousins son who will then be 19 months as ours I havent asked yet as he is only 7 months now but I am hesitant that it is too young :/
Also, any luck on the tux?

My ringbearer wore a black tuxedo with full dress tails, a white pique bowtie and a white vest — just like my Darling Husband and all the groomsmen. He was three-and-half at the time of my wedding. We obtained his tux from Men’s Wearhouse.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I ended up finding a tux for $15 on Craigslist that’s the perfect size! I had called around to all of the bridal stores in the area, but the few that had tuxes that small were over $100.
MarieeToBee – Our ring bearer will be 18 months and our flower girl will be 17 months. Both of them just started walking. We’re going to have them be pulled down the aisle in a wagon (the kind with seats where they’re facing each other). The ring bearer’s mom will be pulling the wagon. That way if either of them get restless or don’t want to stay in the wagon, she can hold their hands as they walk down the aisle together, etc. They have both been getting used to the wagon in the past few months and like it, and they’ll practice at the rehearsal so I’m sure it will go just fine! And even if they end up crying down the aisle, that’s ok! Then it’s just funny and cute! No one expects them to be perfect 🙂 I say go for it! Just don’t give the ring bearer the real rings!
