Need your help choosing my dress for our 1940s engagement photos. I am 5 3 blonde tiny bust, tiny waist and large hips. We are going to take the photos with old vintage airplanes and suitcases.
No. 2 is FABULOUS! And I think it would photograph the best, considering the theme.
But honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them :)
I LOve #2, its not too dressy to be around vintage airplanes and suitcases, but sexy enough for that era for photos!
I love all the looks though!
i like #2, but i have the same body shape as you and think any would be flattering. cute choices and theme!
I think #3 will be very flattering for you :) but they all look cute
Sheesh, you really can't go wrong with any of them. :o)
My fav. is the second one, with the third one being a close runner up.
wow those are awesome. I love #2 and #3 equally. I would go with which ever one looks best on you. Where are those dresses from?
The second one is my favorite! It has a 1940s army wife feel. So classy!
Meowkers- these are from stop staring clothing online. They have lots of dresses to choose from.
#3 is also my favorite. Just be sure to take into account where you're having your pictures done. If you think you'll blend in too much, then I also really like #1!
Bridetobe2010. Good point. I'm not sure what the color of the airplanes are that will be in the background. Most of them in the 1940s were dull gray or a bright red/yellow. My profile pic of the girl on the plane is my go by. We won't do a sexy pose like that... well maybe one or two for the FI's eyes only ;)
I love the third one, though they're all great. You describe yourself as petite with larger hips. The flutter sleeves will draw the eye up and give you height! What a great idea!! Hope you post pictures!
I love #2, but I think I'm with Perfume on #3 probably working better for your shape. I really hope you post pics...I love this idea!!
I love them all, especially #2. I have a shape similar to yours and imagine that #3 would probably be the most flattering.
#3 is the best. I also like white and red dress for vintage effect.
Thanks everyone for their opinions! I would have thought #1 would be the pick. But then again I keep going back to #3 and staring at it! Can't wait to order it and take the e-pics!
#2, all the way! I like the siplicity and how the detail around the top will bring they eyes upwards. all cute dresses, but #2 is definitely the classic one.
I LOVE number 2!!! I think 1 and 3 are more 2000ish on a 40s take, but number 2 looks like it just came from the 40s its classic and beautiful!
I'm loving #2 :)
....and in case you need any photo inspiration, I wrote a blog post on this a little while ago - my FI and I were going to do the same thing, but it fell through :(

I like #2 for me and #3 for you.
Love that you're doing a themed session, I really hope you are planning on sharing the pcitures!
Love #3 for you; just NOT #1-it reminds me of a Halloween costume. :)
