Yeah, I can post pics now Laughing.  I have been waiting patiently since Wednesday.  That means I actually need to multitask this post a bit, though.

First of all, I love, love, love my seamstress.  She actually gave me a Scarlett O'Hara moment when she pinned my dress.  My waist is nearly 13" smaller than my hips/bust.  Wowza!!

So, now I need some advice from the hive on two issues.  When I posted pics when I first bought the dress, some bees recommended a sash to make my waist seem smaller.  Now I'm not sure if it's necessary.  Oh, the sash would be sewn to the dress, so ignore the "tails" in the second pic. Thoughts?

Second,  I am meeting my hairstylist tomorrow to talk wedding day hair.  I have no idea what to do.  I have massive amounts of hair to work with, so I could probably go with a lot of different styles.  I don't want anything highly stuctured and laquered down.  FI likes my hair down, but I'm not sure how that would look with the birdcage.  Any suggestions?

You don't need a sash.  The bolero is perfect.

I'm wearing my hair down but I have a short bob.  I suggest you wear your hair down but add curls.  I actually googled different wedding styles and came across real brides.  From there I decided on what style would look good on me.

Now all my gf wore their hair down and it was them.  So wear what looks good for you.

Agree, no sash!  Although I might vote for hair up... but thinking a side bun kind of 'up', not a chignon.  :)

first of all - you look awesome in that dress!

i would either skip the sash or go with something else as i find this particular sash doens't do anything for you. in my opinion it is too thin and looks a little bit out of place. maybe a thicker sash?

have you considered adding just a brooch or a little ivory flower on your hip? right where the fabric is kind of gathering.. (not on the side where you currently wear the flower - the opposite side).

in regards to your hair: i think a loose low-do would look really pretty.

I don't think the sash adds much to the dress, if kind of cuts the whole silhouette and the flow of fabric on your hip.

You look beautiful by the way.

I would try a thicker sash in a softer color like silver or the color of the dress with stones the color of the sash. I just think that particualr sash is too much for the dress.Or a brooch as PP mentioned to add some flair.

I would either do loose curls all over my head or a low bun to the side with the birdcage veil

I voted "lose it"  The dress is gorgeous and I feel like its taking away from it.  I think the necklace is also take the attention from your dress to your neck.  You want that gorgeous dress to be the focal point

Dump the sash, or go with something else- like all jeweled, no color.  I am not a fan of that sash, but I don't hate the idea of it.

Say no to the sash!  Try maybe a flower or broach but sash is just ruining the flow of the dress for me.

I guess my thoughts are confirmed with the sash Tongue out.  I think I'll covert to a belt that I can wear with other dresses in my closet.

Hair-wise, Can y'all post any pics of hairstyles you think would look good?  I really am kinda lost with it.  I just don't know what would look best.

Thanks for all of the wonderful compliments!!

I like the contrast of the black on the white, but I agree that perhaps a wider sash would be better?

Personally I'm not a fan of the sash, but it seems as though it goes along with your theme.

I vote for a thicker sash as well.

I think the sash, necklace and bolero are too much. No, sash. If you must do a sash I would do one that was the same color as the dress with just a little sparkle, but I think sashes are being overdone and added to everything.

Someone asked me if i was adding a sash to my dress on here and I already had a small row of rhinestones on my dress! Overkill, with the sashes I tell you.

I would wear a crystal sash that has a more neutral undertone to it. i think the black is too much.  I also think that with the necklace and bolero and hair down, the neck area just looks too busy.
