We conceived our first try with both my pregnancies. My husband and I joke that we're the most fertile people in the world, lol. :) Good luck! I hope this is your month!
yep, first cycle TTC for us :) and after being on the pill for 10+ years - I know it's not the norm, we feel really blessed.
It took us awhile, but my best friend got pregnant on cycle 1 after being on the pill for 5+ years!
I was on birth control pills for 15 years (!!!) and got pregnant the month I stopped taking them. Definitely not the norm, but what luck!
@Mrs. Spring: Do you mind my asking what prevention you were using before TTC?

@daniellemybelle: Sure, with our first, we were using NFP; I had been off the pill and using only NFP for about a year before we decided to start TTC. With the second, I had the Mirena inserted. We waited one month after removing the Mirena to start trying and got pregnant right away.
I have a friend who just announced her unplanned pregnancy to me, she had an IUD, which apparantly fell out without her realizing it, and bam! 4 days later she was pregnant!
My husband's friend and his wife went off birth control a month before their wedding in preparation for TTC right after they got married. The bride was more than a little annoyed that she couldn't drink at her wedding or on her honeymoon because they got pregnant the week after they went off BC! :)
I did with #1. First try.
With #2? We're dealing with possible IF, my hormones are all messed up. Going through testing now.
I swear it has something to do with age. At least, that's my experience. My hubby and I got pregnant my second cycle after being off BC for 6 years (I was 22 at the time).
My best friend just got pregnant after trying for 1 week and she is 22 as well.
I swear the younger you are, the faster it happens!
I went off BC pills in the end of July, used condoms for 2 months (we weren't quite ready), stopped that in October and got pregnant that first month. I'm 28, for what its worth. I was kind of shocked but feel really lucky as well.

Hi! First time starting a thread in the baby boards :-) I'm currently in the dreaded TWW and just wanted to hear from some bees who were successful during their first TTC cycle. I know there are some on here since I've stalked the boards for a while. I know it generally takes longer, and I'm trying not to get my hopes up too high, but it's so darn difficult! However, if it doesn't happen for us this cycle, we're holding off on trying again until after snowboarding season. At least I have something to look forward to if I get a BFN!
