Where did or where are you going for your first year wedding anniversary?  Also, how much did you/are you going to spend (if it's not too much to ask).

We're not going anywhere.  We've been blessed to take several wonderful trips during our first year of marriage.  We're in the middle of selling our house and buying another.  That coupled with several other financial goals - we've decided to stay home and enjoy a nice night together.

This is a great question!  I know we'll go somewhere for our 1st anniversary (and would, if financially able always) to go on an anniversary trip each year (my sis does and it keeps them connected).

We're going on  a nine day anniversary trip to Texas! First stop, Houston, and then Austin, Dallas, San Antonio and Galveston.  We're hoping to at least spend a night in the last two cities but we'll see how it goes since I'm sure we'll be exhausted from all the driving.   We're on a tight budget but hopefully with airfare, car rental, hotel, food and entertainment we can keep it under $2500.

We're taking a road trip a month prior to our 1 year and hoping to do it for under $700 or so. But it's more about having a baby on the way and taking one last solo trek together than it being about an anniversary...  :)

I am originally from new york, and my hubby has never been there and is dying to go to eat all the great food! So we might be headed out there for our anniversary! The 2nd option would be another cruise that a lot of our family is going on.

For cost, i am thinking will be between 2-3k for both of us depending on which we do.

I've been thinking about this lately! Wanted to go somewhere tropical, where we could just relax. We had mentioned going on a cruise, but found out on our honeymoon that my husband doens't have a very strong stomach when it comes to being on the open waters- oh well! I def. want to go somewhere I've never been though! Maybe we'll try somewhere cold- Would love to go to Alaska!!

We had a DW wedding in one of our favorite small towns in the NE. So we're going back for our one-year anniversary. We didn't have enough time to really enjoy it while we were there for our wedding, so we're looking forward to a long weekend of no plans in a beautiful town!

For flights, hotels and rental the car, it'll be about $1,000 for both of us, not including spending money. We found a great deal for our hotel on Hotwire, so the room was crazy cheap.

We're hoping this is something we'll be able to do every year of our marriage, it's such a great way to reconnect!  Our first year we went to the Dominican Republic, and for our 2nd anniversary next month we're going to Hawaii.

    @contrarymary: Yea for Texas!

We didn't go anywhere.  I'm pregnant and have been so busy with work travel that I just wanted to stay near home.  We went out to a very nice dinner and spent the night at the hotel we stayed in on our wedding night.  Brunch the next day (on our anniversary proper) and wonderful (no kidding!) year-old cake that evening.

We're talking about palm beach Florida (honeymoon spot) or the keys (FH has always wanted to go).

we'll probably be going to the b&b where we got married, it's about an hour from us. i'm pretty sure my parents will gift us the hotel so it won't be expensive for us.

Same place as our mini-moon-Lanai Four Seasons. About $700 for just lodging and airfare. Which I think is too high (for our situation) but what the heck, the baby is on the way so this will be the last baby-free vacay for a long while. It took me a long time to fully commit to the plane tics so we explored many other options (for about the same price and timeframe)  but in the end, we didn't want to go anywhere else ---so  it looked like either splurge or do absolutely nothing.

*Also add $40 more for shuttle around the whole island for the entire trip for both of us.

We were planning on going somewhere, but one of our friends is getting married in a DW the weekend afterwards.  Best laid plans and all...kinda got squished.

It falls into place very naturally for us to take a one-year anniversary trip, as we took a trip to St. Maarten our first summer together, to Disney World our second summer together, to Greece our third summer together, and to Tahiti our fourth (our honeymoon!). Of course we'll go somewhere next summer too. We are thinking about doing an Alaska cruise, because my husband has never been on a cruise and wants to do one, and it's very easy, cheap and convenient when you live in Seattle like we do, and I have heard from many family and friends that Alaska cruises offer some of the most amazing beautiful views and experiences of a lifetime.

We just got married and returned from our honeymoon less than one week ago and we're already planning our one year anniversary trip!  I'm hoping it'll be a babymoon :)

Depending on whether or not I'm pregnant, we're thinking of either French Polynesia or Thailand and Vietnam - all have beaches to lie on and relax!

I say go for it and celebrate each year with an anniversary trip!

We just had our one year anniversary and really wanted to go somewhere. It wasn't working out with finances and work schedules, but at the last minute (as in, the day before :-D), we planned a short, one-night trip to Lake of the Ozarks (a few hours away from us). It was short, but we got out of the city and had time to ourselves, so it was good. And we have an anniversary every year so maybe we'll pull off a longer one later ;-)
