I’m taking each of my girls shopping individually – letting them pick ANY navy blue dress that they want. The lighting isn’t the best – but this is what we have thus far.
I was originally going to have them wear gold shoes. My sister (bridesmaid) thinks that a champagne color would be better. The wedding colors are navy blue and ivory with gold accents and the men are wearing chocolate brown tuxes.
Also, I had intended for the girls to pick out any shoe that they wanted. My sister thinks that since everyone will have a different dress, then the shoes should all be the same. I feel the opposite – if they’re wearing different dresses, why not different shoes too (as long as they’re the same color). I feel it would be too difficult to have everyone wear the same heel (some prefer high heels, my sister, however, with a previous broken toe can only wear 2 inch heels).

I like champagne and that looks close to gold or what about a nude shoe?

Or this? I just googled nude shoes….. just an idea.

I agree with the nude suggesstion.

I told my bridesmaids gold for their shoes, but we are having a really hard time finding a shoe that is not, what I would consider, too much. The champagne seems to have that shimmer of gold, but a little toned down. … for example: the gold heels are a bit more metallic.

i think gold and champagne are so similar it doesn’t matter. and i def don’t think they need to wear matching shoes- some may already have gold/champers colored shoes and it would be silly for them to buy new ones unnecessarily.

Generally nude shoes are a great option, but because the dresses are so dark, I don’t think they would go very nicely together. I would just put a general guideline of a metallic shoe that has a gold/champagne undertones cause like Ms. Meowerson said they really are so similar.

My girls are wearing navy dresses as well! and they are doing nude color. I dont think they need to wear the same shoe but my mother insists (SO annoying)…. anyways I think the champagne and gold are very similar so I think you are on the right path I dont think you can go wrong.
