Well, a second dress for the reception could possibly be worn again. If you get a shorter cocktail dress you could either dye it or just wear it again if you like white.
However, would you be sad that you're not in the Harlow? That you only spent an hour in it? Is there no indoor bathroom nearby that you can go to if you need to? I know I would not be happy going in a porta potty in my wedding dress either, but if there's a house you're renting you should be able to use it even if you're not letting your guests.
LIke this dress is so cute and in your new price range, I think it would look great with a cardigan and sandals in the spring
@arenyth:There is a bathroom inside Fi's parent's house. FI's concerned that I won't want to walk that far. You're also right that I will probably be sad to take my Harlow off. I may just get a cute dress to change into if I feel like it, but something that I could wear on our honeymoon, if I didn't feel like changing.
I probably just needed another night's sleep on it.

I'm contemplating becoming a two dress bride and I need some help becoming okay with it.
FI makes considerably more money than I do. He gave me a blank check which I happily filled out when I purchased my Maggie (Harlow). Harlow's beautiful and when I twirled around at the store I couldn't imagine wanting to take her off. When I wrote the check, I couldn't imagine buying a second dress that would also be worn only once (probably).
FI and I are doing the reception in a tent. For us, this means port-a-potties. Portapotties are not exactly condusive to sitting backwards on the toilet to pee in a wedding dress. FI looked into the super nice trailer bathrooms, but they are 7 times the expense of the handycap portapotties.
As we're discussing this last night, FI says that he's willing to spend an extra 200-400 on a second dress that would allow me to pee in a portapottie, because he'd still be saving money.
So, those of you that are changing during the reception, help me get to a place where I'm comfortable spending more money on a second dress that I'll probably only wear once.
