My wedding had come and gone. Wedding planning was both fun and stressful. Luckily, we had no major problem with any of our vendors – but with ONE EXCEPTION = 2 IN LOVE wedding Video http://www.lo2ve.com
WE REGRET VERY MUCH with our decision to hire 2 IN LOVE as our videographers !!! . I don’t normally go the extra miles to make bad comment about someone because it takes a lot of my effort & energy. But 2 IN LOVE, “P” & “C” (they are a husband & wife team), really have crossed our bottom line WAY TOO FAR that I believe every bride-to-be out there deserves to know about our ridiculous ordeal.
FYI, here are some facts of our unfortunate experience with 2 IN LOVE for you to think about:
1) UNACCEPTABLE POST-WEDDING Customer Service – When it came to picking up our DVD video, not only we were asked to drive 1 hr all the way up to their SFU hilltop apartment office, but also “P” made us waited OUTSIDE IN THE COLD SNOWY WEATHER for 10 mins, instead of buzzing us in so we can at least wait inside at the lobby. It was during the days of snowstorm in Dec 2008 and we were freezing! Just what kind of customer service is that!!!!
2) FINAL Wedding Videos = 2 out of 3 DVD copies are SKIPPERS = DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS !! Yes, they are DUDs !! This REALLY has kicked us off. We played the DVDs with every device that plays DVD and they still skip !!! 1 copy keeps skipping at the wedding ceremony, and another copy skips at the wedding speeches. Just what kind of business will make a client to drive all the way up to the top of SFU for 1hr, stood in the freezing cold – but only to pickup a $3700-worth (=$3500+200) of DEFECTIVE DUD Wedding video DVDs !!! Have they ever checked their product quality b4 delivery?!!? Just when you think things cannot get more ridiculous, how about you are told the only way to get your dud wedding DVDs fixed is by either mailing them as parcel back to 2inlove at YOUR OWN COST, or DROPPING THEM OFF YOURSELF at their SFU hill-top apartment office – in order to verify that the DVDs are really skipping !!!! You must be kidding!! They said they will move out of SFU in Jan 2009, just what guarantees their *fixed* DVD videos won’t turn out to be just another duds the next time. It is self-evident that they have little or NO QC!
3) Continuous Money Milking Scheme AFTER signing the contract – 1st he tried to milk us for an whopping EXTRA $1000 to shoot HD quality video – while many other videographers are already shooting in HD as a STANDARD package. AFTER the wedding, he milked us for an extra $200, claiming that because we had a longer than usual wedding, so “extra hrs of editing” are much needed to include all of your “special wedding moments*. Gosh! He already knew about our Rundown schedule long before the wedding! It was very frustrating but we had to be nice because our special memories are in his hands.
4) Empty promises: Here is your Cookie-Cutter Wedding Video. Expect your video to be just another replica. In the interview “P” stressed he is an *artist* and would inject different effects & elements to suit each client’s style – basically “your wedding video will be unique, just like you”. It turns out he just RECYCLES those effects from the demos. Our DVD menu turned out to be the simplest one amongst the all other demos we’ve seen – EVEN I CAN DO IT!! Basically all the wonderful video effects that he showed were just part of the scheme to lure you into binding a contract with them.
5)Unable to work with a photographer . After the wedding, “P” complained several times that he cannot get the “best shots” because our photographers don’t know how to work with a videographer. Wait a minute, our photographers haven’t even once complained about them given the fact that “P” was totally intrusive. He just jumped in with his camcorder and blocked our photographers several times during the photo shoot. It is unknown know how many of our wedding pictures are ruined by “P” in that way. In good faith we understand he wants to take some good angle footage, but at least could he should have given the photographers a shout before coming in!
Last but not least: Finding the right videographer is like finding Mr.Right. If you feel something is not right from the 1st meeting, then you should believe your gut and look elsewhere. We should have believed our hunch, but we still hired them anyway because we put our faith in those positive comments found on the web, particularly from the “BridX Things” forum . We are still kicking ourselves about it, especially when we’ve now found 2 IN LOVE is actually advertising on that forum!! (check that website & wait for their ads on the banner). It makes one wonders if those wonderful comments were actually posted by 2 IN LOVE themselves, disguising as clients, or because is it they are affiliated somehow. I am in the regulatory business, it is only a job instinct for me to save all the conversation and communication as proof just in case. If you would like to seek further detail, genuine brides-to-be are feel free to contact me for more info.Lastly, whether or not 2 IN LOVE is a dishonest, irresponsible business, this question is up in the air for you to judge.
