It's hard to see but is she doing a french bustle? Dress looks awesome!

I think I like that bustle though. One going over the top wouldn't look as good for your dress I think.
The best site I've found for bustle types is here:
http://www.projectwedding.com/wedding-ideas/bustles-for-your-gown
(there used to be a better one but it's gone!
)
Bustles are generally just a matter of opinion - I think any bustle would go well with your dress.
You look great! I can't wait to see all of these dresses. Mermaid/trumpet is my favorite wedding style and one I hope to be wearing at my own wedding.
My dress has a French bustle. I heart my seamstress for her amazing skills! :)

@ddbubz - Your bustle is AMAZING! I wonder how crafty I could get.
I'm going to check out project wedding that snuggly suggested - thanks for some more ideas.
My dress will have a french bustle and some atlerations. I purchased it off the rack and it fits like a glove, so I am currently trying to just get fit anf not gain ANY weight.
I think a french bustle looks AMAZING on the trumpet/mermaid fit.
I didnt not expect to buy the dress I purchased either. I expected to buy a simple, no lace, A-line. But I just LOVE the curves the trumpet gown added.
Congrats, you look great!
Here is my trumpet dress. All I have is a crappy iphone pic.

@Mrs. Caniche - it's not a crappy pic, better than most cell phone pics! Who's the designer on yours? I love the rouching and bubble hem!
@PinkSparkleGrl - I think your dress is the same as one of my best friends had - she got married 08/08/08. It's very similar at least - and it's beautiful on you, it really fits like a glove :)
Here's my dress. They call it a mermaid but honestly the skirt is a little fuller but not quite an A-line. The one thing I didn't realize about my dress is that you have to bustle itreally low on the skirt. If you try to bustle it high, the front gets pulled back and up at a weird angle and it just doesn't look right. But I'm happy with my dress. :)
Do you have pics of you in it - or the bustle?
I need a better picture, but here is my simple mermaid.
I keep wondering if I had tried on one like yours sbbridebythesea, if that would have been a style I picked. I love it SO much on everyone, it's very flattering. Who is the designer?
It's Alita Graham for Kleinfeld. I saw it online and fell in love. :o) I tried on similar dresses, but I like simple designs and everything before it had a flower here or a broach there or rhinestones or lace and none of them were me. This one just fit.
Oh my goodness, you look stunning! I think you should go with the bustle you have shown. This dress has so much beautiful beading and by doing an american bustle it would cover all that beading up.
Here's my trumpet dress! I also never thought I would pick this style. I was thinking I would like something much more classic, but I just fell in love. And the price was right!
It really doesn't have much of a train, which was a feature for me, so I don't know about the bustle, but I like the one you have in the pic.

Wow - those are both beautiful trumpet gowns! I wish my budget was higher, I can only imagine what I would have gone for.
@Ccolombo85 - you look stunning and your smile kinda looks like you're containing excitement :)
snapdragn73...your dress is beyond gorgeous!!! you look so pretty in it! congrats!
Here's my beloved trumpet gown (that I have no idea how it will be bustled):

She is due to come in February, and I can't wait!!!!
Here is my dress- Paloma Blanca 3854. I'm doing an american bustle right under my rump roast!
@paulan8: Me too!!! When are you getting married! I want to see a picture of yours too! : )
First of all, everyone looks fabulous! I'm am about to order the Mori Lee 2512 dress also and I was wondering what you did about the size? A few months ago I tried on a size 10 and it was tight. Just recently I went out dress shopping again and I have lost about 5-6 lbs. and went down a dress size. I'm scared that I'm losing weight but my hips will not fit in a tinier size. What size did you order if you don't mind me asking? You look perfect in that dress! I can't wait to order mine.
Here's my trumpt not bustled (before hemming) and with the bustle pinned how it will look. I like the American style bustle for my dress, 5 points, but French would look pretty with your satin dress!

Here is mine... It's Maggie Sottero, and is a subtle trumpet/fit-and-flare. It's a crappy cell phone pic, and I have a sash over another sash that comes with the dress, which I didn't like.

How many of you worried that when it was time to actually get your dress that you wouldn't be at your target weight or physique? Imagine when you find out your dress is about 2 months early! Good way to see what I still need to work on I guess.
My shoes fit perfectly (I don't need a hem) and the new jewelry I am very happy with.
I'm thinking of wearing a fingertip veil also, I tried one on but forgot to ask her to take pics.
Yes I have posted before but I am just SO excited that this is the actual dress and I'm not clamped in to a sample. Plus I want to see your mermaid gowns - especially since I NEVER pictured this being a fit I'd put on!
I think I want the style pictured for the bustle - but if there is a better one that I'm not aware of and you think it'd look better - please post pics.
Yeah!! Thanks Hive
