How would you describe your childhood?  Do you want to raise your own child the same or different and why?

This is a great conversation to have because you can learn about his relationship with his parents, their discpline styles,whether he wants kids at all, etc….

The easy ones that come to mind are…

How much debt do you have?  Especially credit card?

What are your retirement goals?

Do you want kids?  How many?

Do you like to travel?  Dream vacation?

Dogs or cats?

1. What is your dream job? Do you forsee us needing to move in the next 5 years to attain your career goals?

 

2. Are you completely finished with higher education? Would you ever consider going back for your Master’s/Doctorate/Professional degree? 

 

3. What would you like for us to accomplish together as a couple before we have kids?

 

4. When we do have kids, who should stay home with them? Or would we send them to daycare or a relative’s house? 

 

5. What’s your favorite chore to complete around the house? Least favorite?

 

6. How would you prefer to cover finances? Will we combine bank accounts or keep them separate? Have one person in charge of all the monthly bills, or divide the responsibility between both of us?

ETA: I just saw I misread this! I thought these were questions for you to ask your fiance. I’ll leave these up, although some of them will definitely not need to be asked until much later Laughing
