@MickyLovesMinnie: Bahh, sorry. I guess I should explain! I'm moving back to Washington to live with my parents.. SO is staying in SLC for his job. Once I'm done with school I'll be moving back down and it should only be about a year, give or take (I'm hoping take.)
UHHH a year seems so long, but I promise you it will fly. Think of the perks of living at home! I miss that giant pantry. ;)

:( I've been there. Just after DH and I got engaged, I moved out of my lovely apartment and back in with my parents briefly before jetting off to the UK for a year for grad school.
The time definitely does go faster than you think it will. Hang in there and make the most of it!
@linguo42: I'm glad. HOPEFULLY (fingers crossed) I'll be able to apply and get into grad school next year. If I can't I'm still getting my bachelor's pretty early..
I'm trying to look ahead and be excited for the further out future but it's tough!

i've been there too..fi and I were living together and enjoying life down south..and then he joined the military and I had to finish school so had to go somewhere stable to live..so back to NY I went. it was hard at first, but as other pp have said think of the perks. homemade meals, no rent - save that $ for wedding.
we already got one year of it done, and i have my last year of grad school coming up and after graduation, the wedding will be here and I will be able to move back in with my love! it really goes faster than you think! you guys can do it!

I have 24 hours left in SLC... and 24 hours left in my own apartment :( and about a week left with my love. It didn't really "hit" me until an hour ago that this is my last night here. I'm so sad. I don't know how I'm going to leave my little crappy apartment that I love because it's MINE, to go back and live with my parents. It's for the best, I'm glad I have the opportunity while I'm in school, but this sucks :( I don't want to have to say goodbye to everyone!
Bahhh. The next 24 hours are going to be rough...
