That was super quick! My halloween candy is rock candy. LOL! He hid the ring in my fave candy box, but the poor man couldn’t get me to pick it up for the longest time. I didn’t sleep much at all last night and wasn’t feeling like candy. I’m glad he was persistent! Definitely a little blingy for a girl who wears very little jewelry, but I love it. Time for a manicure, no? 🙂

@jenilynevette: Not yet. I think we’ll do it at the beach – gotta decide if we want spring or fall….

GORGEOUS Ring… do tell us more about the Proposal, it sounds “sweet” (pun intended)

@This Time Round: Very sweet! I was racing around this afternoon shuttling my daughter and her friends up to a sleep over about 40 minutes north of us – which turned into a two-hour+ round trip, with all the traffic and accidents. When I got home, my SO mentioned there being no beer (he never drinks during the week, so I should have known he was up to something), so I told him to man the candy bowl and I dashed up to the convenience store to replenish our stock. After I got back, I was looking at pics from my daughter’s gaggle of friends and all their fabulous costumes, and he kept asking me if I wanted some candy. Neither of us has much of a sweet tooth (but don’t put a jar of pickles down near either of us!), so it seemed a little odd. I finally relinquished and grabbed the first thing I saw – a peanut butter cup – and carried around for a while. He eventually said “why don’t you put that back? You don’t even like those” (it’s true). He nudged my hand toward the box of DOTS (I do really like those) and when i picked it up it felt floppy – of course because all the candy was gone and a beautiful ring was in there! Boy did I feel dumb. Hahah. It’s good he’s patient, right? “Will you marry me?” he asked, while I was standing there with my mouth open. “Of course I will!” (I mean, who else would wait around for 40 minutes for me to pick up a piece of candy????)
