The proposal story actually starts on Friday, August 16, 2013. My sister was moving into her new apartment, Fiance and I were helping her by installing shelves in her closet. It was a busy weekend for all involved, we were moving the next day. My sisters Boyfriend or Best Friend invited everyone out to celebrate the last night all four were together. I was exhausted and didn’t want to go anywhere, but but Fiance and sister’s Boyfriend or Best Friend said they should go to a duelling piano bar downtown. I begrudgingly agreed, and they headed downtown around midnight.
This is where I should have been clued in that something was up. Sister’s Boyfriend or Best Friend gave a suggestion to the piano player, and when I asked her what it was — she replied that it was “probably something by Jay-Z.” In retrospect, almost nothing by Jay-Z is playable on the piano or sing-along-able in a group setting. Then sister’s Boyfriend or Best Friend chimed in that it was “Uptown Girl” by Billy Joel. He is not the type of guy who listens to any Billy Joel. Fiance said that he was freezing except for his face, because when I hugged him, his face was on fire.
FI’s pre-proposal anxiety wasn’t helped by the fact that the piano players play songs based on how much money you pay, and his bills had stuck together so the piano player thought he had only contributed $3 to the engagement song. So song after song got played while he was sitting there with his hand on the ring, waiting for something to happen.
Finally, the piano player apologized and separated the bills. He then said into the microphone that the next song “was for beeintraining, who got engaged today.” Needless to say, this took me entirely by surprise. When I turned to look at Fiance, he was down on one knee. He said many nice things, almost none of which I remember, and asked me to marry him. I said yes, and then he pulled me onto the dance floor while the piano players sang Fly Me to the Moon, by Frank Sinatra.

Fiance was very happy with their customer service throughout the entire process and we are intending to order our wedding bands from there. Apologies in advance for the horrible cell phone pictures.
