well, if it helps spark any ideas cotton traditionally represents durability and versatility- two important traits in a marriage. One idea that comes to mind is a nice blanket/table cloth to sit on for picnics (you could do iron-on images from your wedding to personalize it). You could present it in a basket with a nice meal packed for the two of you. Another ideas is a cotton rope hammock if you have room to set it up-it would be a great place to relax solo or together. Or, print your vows or a reading from your wedding on cotton paper and get it framed.
I think the picnic blanket idea is super cute!!!
A decent hammock though would be hard to find for under $30.
Do you knit or crochet? What about making something out of cotton yarn/thread?
Hmmm... I would love a hammock but a distinct lack of trees in our backyard might prevent that. ;)
I do crochet but would have to think of some things he might like... to late for a scarf!
He does love 100% cotton undershirts... lol.

Oh!
There's a deal on Heartsy today for silk screened tshirts.

Maybe you ask for a custom silk screen tshirt to commemorate the anniversary? Or something that only the two of you know??
Our second anniversary gift to each other was to invest in a piece of furniture (we needed a sectional though). Hmm.. have you though about a robe? I know it sounds silly, but my husband lives in his.
I'm quickly approaching my 2nd anniversary, too. Isn't this one hard?! Here's some of the ideas I've heard (remember that the second anniversary is either cotton or china):
I've also hneard of getting whatever you want and then wrapping it in cotton, which is kinda cheating (lol), but makes it a little easier. The second anniversary is really hard!
heartsy = groupon for etsy???? OMG. there goes my paycheck.
I like the cotton bathrobe idea.
How about a picture of cotton? Art?
@JeniRae: What about a picture printed on canvas? I think canvas is made out of cotton, and then you can pick whatever picture or art piece you wanted.
haha. Yup. It's Groupon for Etsy! I had a thread about it a couple days ago.
I'm trying hard to be judicious about what GC I purchase!
Our anniversary is next week so I'm too late on this but maybe someone else can use this idea. Take your husband's old favorite shirts maybe from college, sports teams or vacation shirts and have someone make a quilt out of them. I have a quilt made from my sorority shirts and love it. We also received Mr. and Mrs. pillowcases for a wedding gift so that's another idea.

Our second anniversary is quickly approaching (yes, I've been around the Bee a LONG time).
We're trying to follow the "traditional" gifts for anniversaries (just for fun) but the 2nd anniversary is hard! We have about a $30 limit (would rather spend our money on food and wine) and the traditional gift is cotton.
Any brilliant ideas for my husband's gift, bees??
