I’m excited and I know that there will be no special question because he hasn’t paid off the ring BUT there’s lots to look forward to. We’re going for a meal at a lovely coastal restaurant at a golf club. There’s a beach too so a romantic walk
I get to reveal that I’m taking him to Disneyland in September to run. Eek it’s been so hard not to reveal the surprise and know he’ll be elated. I love giving surprised although I hate receiving them. I’m being sappy by making a card too.
Tomorrow will be a fantastic day and I can’t wait.

winebarbiekiss : thank you:) but this guy is really amazing and spoils me.
AnonBee2019 : it was lovely. We first ran the same running race that we ran last year on anniversary- he ran with me, which is really kind because he’s super fast whereas I like to plod. He occasionally does run with me and wanted to last night which I appreciated.
There was loads of people we knew there so we stood speaking for a good bit before getting showers and dressed up. Our next step was to drive further up the coast to a really nice golf club where he had dinner booked. We had views of the beach and of the mountain so our table was very scenic.
We exchanged gifts after our lovely meal and it was great.
He was in an extra lovable mood last night and we sat having cocktails on the balcony of the golf club.
bluecutie00 : His Christmas present to me was a trip to NYC in AUGUST 😁 so he’s even more thoughtful. He spent ages making a photo book for me and he’s so kind – he’s booked a helicopter trip over NYC for when we go – that’s very extra but We’ll love it.

So glad you had such a great anniversary!!!! Especially glad it wasn’t “ruined” because of the no proposal. 😊

That sounds like such a lovely day! Sometimes it’s nice to know that “the event” isn’t coming because you can relax and really savor the time together.

becks90 : That’s amazing! We need to be sister wives!! Lol
I love, love, love gifts that show effort and planning, rather than just a shopping mall bargain. The fact that he took the time to plan a trip where you can make memories together AND create you a photo book is something special.
Your guy sounds truly amazing!! So happy for you. 😊

becks90 : This all sounds amazing 🙂 Enjoy it all, I’m happy for you that you’re looking forward to so much else beyond a ring (waiting can get a little obsessive), he sounds like a great guy.

tiffy127 : I think taking away the expectation of the proposal helps a lot. I just have to reset my mindset for NYC and enjoy it more. If it happens then it happens but if not so what I’m going to build up memories.
12_Elle : we’ve managed to savour the whole weekend together whereas before I would have questioned certain things and wondered if it was coming.
bluecutie00 : most people have so much clutter in the pretence of presents so I actively avoid that – plus I generally can’t recall what most people get me for Christmas etc but I can when it’s experiences. High5 for the same mentality.
RobbieAndJuliahaha : I’m ridiculously obsessive so trying to move away from that, he is wonderful and I just need to step back and enjoy him in the present rather than wanting our relationship to continually move forward.
