I think it is perfectly fine to have two dresses if you love them both. I had two for mine. Just do what you want, it’s your day. I wore the first dress for the ceremony and the second for the reception, which was a surprise for my husband.

Sure why not?  That’s something that’s popular these days.  Is someone giving you a hard time?  It not one of those issues that would offend or inconvenience your guests.  It’s just one of those "it’s your wedding" decisions.  Be happy.

You only get married once!  If you love 2 dresses, go for it!  It is so fun and unexpected when the bride changes.  It really sets the tone too… when the bride changes into her sexier dress, it means it’s time to PARTY!

Go for it.  This is your big chance to be a princess for the day so take full advantage of it!!   I think this is an especially good idea since you’ll be outside for the reception.

by the way… I’m in love with the ceremony dress.. Amazing!

FrenchCountry, I just have to say that both of your dresses blow my mind. Do you have pictures of yourself in them? That ball gown is so dramatic and gorgeous, and the reception dress is so modern and stylish! It looks a lot like a Romona Keveza that I was in love with for a while. 🙂

How on earth did you find such good deals? I say that if two dresses are in your budget and they make you happy, you should do it! 🙂

Get it! Both of them are beautiful. Ultimately, it’s what you want on your special day and how comfortable wil you be. I bought my wedding dress on a Monday and immediately felt a little bit of remorse because I liked the dress but did not love it. The next day, I found a 2nd dress on Ebay for $125 that was much more my style. I will be wearing that dress for the reception since the first one is a corset back and not good for sitting. 😛

2 dresses would not be for me as I take a ridiculous amount of pride in my frugality, but if you’re under budget and it’s what you really want, presuming there’s not something else you’d prefer to do with the money you saved, then sure, go for it!
