First off- congratulations on your weight loss so far! Thats an amazing accomplishment! Secondly, tailors can work wonders. I hope today you can see some of the changes taking place in your dress and you can love it again. I'm sure you'll look incredible on your wedding day!
@Gia: Don't stress over it! I am with you here though, ever since we got engaged I've been wanting to lose like 50 pounds, well that didn't happen, however I did lose 12 lbs. It's no where near the 50 I wanted, but I do feel better about myself. And I think that is where you are at too. Be happy that you lost the 35, that's awesome!! You will look beautiful and amazing on your wedding day no matter what!
Let us know how it goes today. If you don't like how tightly it's fitting then encourage them to take it in more. There is a limit to what they can do, but they will make it fit perfectly. You look STUNNING in your dress! Congrats on all your hard work paying off. You should be very proud of yourself! Your emotions are normal though, and I have dress anxiety too. I think it's par for the course.
I saw your other post about the fitting. You look sssoooooooo great!! Glad you didn't have anything to worry about!!!
that is amazing that you lost all that weight. so you didnt hit your goal...so WHAT?!!?! you lost 30lbs girl and that is AMAZING. I have been trying to loose 10lbs for over a year now!
Congratulations on losing weight, period! I've been actively trying to lose weight for more than a month and NOT A SINGLE POUND LOST!!! So you've done awesome!!
Congrats on your weightloss!! 30 pounds is a lot and can definitely make a difference!!! I've been stuck at a plateau for weeks, so I know how you feel. I hope you felt better once you put your dress on! How did it go?
Fitting went pretty well. I had been hoping to get away with without a bra, but the dress isnt supportive enough and the seamstress said building in cups wasnt an option. I had brought a "back up" bra with me that I dried the dress on with, but I think it gave me backfat b/c it goes up pretty high in the back. Anyway, other than that I felt pretty good about it. The corset in the back was a good call. it pulls me in pretty nicely
You look beautiful! I'm glad the fitting went well for you. :)
Love this dress. It looks great on you! Well done on the weight loss too. Even if it wasn't as much as you wanted, its better to lose 30 pounds than put on 30 pounds!
Wow. That dress looks amazing on you! I am also on a weight loss journey and it is so hard! Losing 30 pounds is a MAJOR accomplishment.

Hello Bees,
I am having my second fitting today and am super anxious about it. When I started my weightloss journey several months ago my plan was to lose about 50 pounds in 5 months. I had lost about 10 pounds in the few months before that. That would put me at a healthy weight, far lower than I have been since junior year in high school (20 years ago!). Well, I've lost about 25 pounds since then, so in total I am down about 30-35 from last summer. Instead of being happy about my loss, I am so dissapointed in myself for not losing more. i have to admit the past few weeks I've lost steam and have more or less plateaued. I've never actually lost more than 10 pounds at a time, so I know that I should feel good about this. The sad thing is, I just see my tummy pudge when I look in the mirror.
Then she came along - my beautiful dress that is. 3 months ago, after losing about 12 pounds and could not wait any longer, I went dress shopping, and when I put her on in the sample size (14), I felt beautiful and slender. At the time I was told to order an 18 because I was inbetween an 16/18, and they told me to order up. Well, I insisted on the 16. This is where it turns sad. I tried on the dress, it was too big, I hate the way the boning is so structured you dont see me smaller and more slender underneath it. The store tried to reassure me that they will make it fit better, but there is a limit to what they can do. Anyway, I have been feeling dress anxiety/remorse, etc. ever since my first fitting, 10 days ago. My second fitting is today. I am super nervous about it. Nervous about how the dress will fit, and disapointed that I havent lost mroe weight.
Has anyone else dealt with these emotions?
Thanks for listening (or reading through) my rant! My FI and family are so sick of hearing about it, so I appreciate the outlet!
